Abstract

An insecticidal and/or acaricidal composition which comprises as an active ingredient an insecticidally and/or acaricidally effective amount of at least one ether compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a halo(lower)alkyl group, a phenoxyphenoxy(lower)alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group, a halo(lower)alkoxy group, a phenyl group, a halo(lower)alkoxyphenyl group, a methylenedioxy group or a group of the formula: ##STR2## (in which ##STR3## is a 6-membered unsaturated ring, X.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a halo(lower)alkoxy group, Y.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or combined with Y.sub.1 to form a direct single bond, n is an integer of 1 or 2 and X is an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a carbonyl group or a group of the formula: --C(R.sub.3)(R.sub.4)-- (in which R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are each a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group));
