Abstract

A urethane catalyst which is an imidazole ether compound of the formula ##STR1## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are independently hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R.sub.4 is ethylene, n-propylene or isopropylene. The imidazole compounds provide for delayed initiation while maintaining an acceptable cure time in the production of polyurethane foam.
