Abstract

A process for producing a chlorohalobenzene represented by the general formula: ##STR1## where X' is a halogen atom, by chlorinating a benzene represented by the general formula: ##STR2## where X is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, in a liquid phase in the presence of a catalyst, characterized in that L-type zeolite is used as the catalyst.
