Abstract

A feed additive produced by concentrating an aqueous solution containing tryptophan and impurities both originating in the culture broth of a tryptophan-producing microorganism, with the pH of the aqueous solution being maintained in the range of 4 to 6 and the temperature thereof being maintained in the range of 20.degree. to 80.degree. C. during the process of concentrating.
