Abstract

alpha-Acylated glycerides having the formula: ##STR1## wherein each R.sup.1 is a C.sub.10 -C.sub.14 alkyl group and wherein each R.sup.2 is a C.sub.14 -C.sub.16 aliphatic group are disclosed. These alpha-acylated glycerides are useful as non-digestible fats in low calorie fat-containing food compositions.
