Mesoionic anhydro-5-amino-1,2,3,4-oxatriazolium hydroxides and methods of using the same in the treatment of cancer, said compositions containing, as an active ingredient, one or more compounds having the structure ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a phenyl or substituted phenyl group and R.sup.2 represents hydrogen or a methyl group.
