Abstract

Two logical values of a 3-valued code correspond to the '1' and '0' values of a binary code. When the same binary logical value occurs in successive digits of data to be transmitted, the corresponding 3-valued logical value and a third logical value are transmitted alternately. When the different binary logical value occurs in the data alternately, the corresponding 3-valued logical values are transmitted alternately.
