Abstract
Linalool is produced by a hydrogenation of O-linalyl-N,N-dimethyl hydroxylamine having the formula ##STR1## wherein Me represents methyl group and the reference numerals 1 to 10 represent 1 to 10 carbon positions under a hydrogen partial pressure of lower than 30 Kg/cm.sup.2 in the presence of a catalyst of a combination of Ni or Co component with a modifying component selected from the group consisting of Al, Ge, Sn, As, Sb, S, Se and Cr.
