Abstract
In some examples, a system receives, based on a first output of a sensor associated with a merchant, an indication of a quantity of an item in an inventory of the merchant. The sensor is configured to detect tracking components associated with respective items in the inventory. The system determines, based at least on transaction information related to the merchant and the first sensor output, a time that the item quantity in the inventory will reach an inventory threshold. Based on determining that the time to reach the inventory threshold is within a threshold time, the system sends, to a device of the merchant, a recommendation to purchase an additional amount of the item. Based at least on sending the recommendation, the system receives, based on a second output of the sensor, an indication of an increase in the quantity of the item in the inventory of the merchant.
