Abstract
A system for managing a configurable GUI for customizing and viewing a report is disclosed. The GUI has several panels on one screen for collectively controlling the organization and look-and-feel of the report, presenting a real-time view of the report in response to control changes, and providing a report document with an identical appearance as the real-time view. The panels are separately configurable. The panels also operate independently and communicate by passing information regarding events that occur in respective panels.
