Abstract

Systems and methods for efficient distribution of files to video conferencing client computing devices via dynamic mesh technology are provided. For example, a mesh service establishes a mesh network for client computing devices based on communication among client computing devices and elects a parent node for the mesh network. The mesh service further determines, for each client computing device in the mesh network, a target version of a file to be installed or stored on the client computing device and cause the target versions of the particular file to be distributed to the client computing devices through the mesh network. The distribution includes the parent node downloads the target versions of the file for the client computing devices in the mesh network. The child nodes download respective target versions of the file from the parent node and verify the authenticity of the downloaded target versions with the content distribution service.
