Abstract
A system can include a memory device and a processing device operatively coupled with the memory device, to perform operations including sending, to the host system, burst power mode data associated with the memory device, wherein the burst power mode data comprises a first parameter and a second parameter, wherein the first parameter indicates that the memory device supports a burst power mode, wherein the second parameter specifies a maximum power value provided by the burst power mode; receiving a power loss notification from the host system; responsive to receiving the power loss notification, enabling the burst power mode; identifying one or more data flushing operations to be performed based on a power budget defined according to the maximum power value provided by the burst power mode; and causing the one or more data flushing operations to be performed.
