Abstract
Example methods and systems for multi-skeleton tracking in reconstructions of a volumetric scene are disclosed. Measured skeletons are derived from multiple video streams and compared with predicted skeletons generated by a Kalman filter that incorporates historical pose data. A temporal object key point loss metric quantifies the difference between measured and predicted skeletons over time. Loss values form a cost matrix processed by a Hungarian assignment algorithm to match measured skeletons with predicted identities, providing stable player IDs, jersey numbers and team information. The matched skeletons are updated and predicted for subsequent frames, enabling real time virtual viewpoints, point of view views, and other immersive visualizations.
