Abstract
A method performed by an active-network slice management function (NSMF) of an active-cloud orchestrator node for geo redundancy (GR) awareness, comprises sending, to a GR controller of the active-cloud orchestrator node, a GR information request message to receive GR information. The method comprises receiving, from the GR controller, a GR information response message comprising the GR information including a synchronization status between the active-NSMF and a standby-NSMF of a standby-cloud orchestrator node and a current state of each of the active-NSMF and the standby-NSMF. The method comprises determining at least one action to be performed based on the GR information. The method comprises performing the at least one action for life cycle management (LCM) operation.
