Abstract
Embodiments included herein are directed towards a method for use in an electronic design. The embodiments may include receiving, at a graphical user interface, a request to access an electronic design layout. The method may further include receiving a block abstractor command configured to associate the electronic design layout with a separate library accessible from a separate working directory. The method may also include instantiating one or more block abstracts at a top layout. The method may additionally include opening, in parallel, a first block layout on a first computing device and a second block layout on a second computing device.
