Abstract
The invention relates to an optical waveguide component and to a method for the production thereof. The optical waveguide component comprises: —at least one optical waveguide structure () which is in the form of a first three-dimensional freeform structure and which has at least one first portion () which is enclosed by at least one jacket material (); •—at least one guide structure (), which is in the form of a second three-dimensional freeform structure, in the vicinity of the at least one first portion (); and •—the at least one jacket material (), which at least partially fills a spatial region between the at least one first portion () and the at least one guide structure (), wherein the at least one guide structure () defines a region within which the at least one first portion () is enclosed by the at least one jacket material (), and wherein at least one second portion () of the optical waveguide structure () or at least one optical component () adjacent to the optical waveguide structure () is not enclosed by the at least one jacket material ().
