Abstract
Provided a method for promoting growth of bacteria of the genus. The method for promoting growth of bacteria of the genusincludes subjecting a milk culture medium containing one or more selected from the group consisting of cysteine, cystine, and a salt thereof to heat treatment and then culturing bacteria of the genusin the milk culture medium.
