Abstract
Provided herein are chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that include a) an antigen binding domain specific for an antigen, b) a spacer, c) a transmembrane domain, and d) an intracellular signaling domain, wherein the spacer consists oforC-set Ig-like domain(s) e.g., C-set Ig-like domains of the sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin (Siglec) family. Also provided herein are compositions including a) an immune cell expressing a CAR, wherein the CAR is specific for a tag and b) a tagged polypeptide.
