Abstract

Method for characterising a microorganism, comprising: —illuminating, in the wavelength range of 390 nm-900 nm, the microorganism having a natural electromagnetic response in said range; —acquiring, in said range, a light intensity reflected by said (or transmitted through said) illuminated microorganism; and —determining the microorganism as being a yeast or a bacterial strain according to the light intensity acquired in said range.
