Abstract

A method is used for the fermentative production of L-lysine using bacteria of the species, having the ability to excrete L-lysine and containing in their chromosome a mutated NCgl2816 polynucleotide. Further, the method is used for cultivating the bacteria in a suitable medium under suitable conditions, and accumulating said L-lysine in the suitable medium to form an L-lysine containing fermentation broth.
