Abstract

The invention relates to a method for actuating a starter device (), wherein the starter device () comprises a starting pinion () which is to be meshed with a toothed ring () of an internal combustion engine (), the internal combustion engine () having a drive shaft (). The invention is characterized in that a) first a rotational speed (n, n, n, n) of the drive shaft () is determined, b) said rotational speed (n, n, n, n) is then compared to a predefined rotational speed value (nG), and c) in the case that the rotational speed (n, n, n, n) is less than or equal to the predefined rotational speed value (nG), the starting pinion () is toed in the direction of the toothed ring ().
