Abstract
A friction element () for a frictional shift element for a transmission of a vehicle, the friction element having an annular base body with a plurality of friction surface elements (), the plurality of friction surface elements () protruding radially inwardly or radially outwardly and are distributed over a periphery of the annular base body. The friction element () and the plurality of friction surface elements () are each formed as one piece.
