A heat dissipation simulator of a component on a printed circuit board (PCB) includes a simulation board and a simulated heat source. The simulation board includes an iron layer and a plastic layer. The simulated heat source includes a simulation chip, a thermal, and a heat sink. The simulation chip, the thermal piece, and the heat sink are mounted on the simulation board in that order. The heat dissipation simulator replaces a sample of the PCB with the component for simulating working states of the component on the PCB.

Heat dissipation simulator

A circuit board mounting apparatus includes a circuit board, a first mounting member, a second mounting member, and a third mounting member. The first and second mounting members are mounted to a front side of the circuit board. The third mounting member is mounted to a rear side of the circuit board. The circuit board is capable of being mounted to a first side plate of a first chassis in a perpendicular manner by the first and second mounting members, or is capable of being mounted to a second side plate of a second chassis in a parallel manner by the first, second, and third mounting members.

Circuit board mounting apparatus

A fan device includes a board defining an opening and a fan assembly pivotably received in the opening. The fan assembly includes a fan and a frame receiving the fan. The frame includes a top wall, a bottom wall, and two sidewalls. A front plate extends down and diagonally forward from a front side of the bottom wall. A resilient limiting member is formed on one of the sidewalls. When a bottom of the fan assembly is pivoted rearward to make the fan assembly slanting relative to the board, the front plate is abutted a front side of the board, and the limiting member is abutted a rear side of the board.

Fan device

A server includes a main body and a plurality of indicating tags. The main body includes a plurality of electronic elements. A separating plate is located between each two adjacent electronic elements. The main body defines a plurality of engaging holes corresponding to the electronic elements. A gap is defined between the separating plate and the main body. The indicating tag includes a label plate and a mounting plate. One end of the mounting plate defines a through hole. The other end of the mounting plate forms an engaging portion. The engaging portion engages in the gap. The indicating tags can be fixed to the main body with screws extending through the through holes to engage in the engaging holes.

Server and indicating tag of the same

A server cabinet includes a rack, a server, a switch, and a first supporting member. The rack includes two columns located at a front end of the rack. The server is installed between the columns. The switch is installed in the rack above the server. Opposite ends of a front side of the switch are fastened to the columns of the rack. The first supporting member includes a connecting plate mounted to a rear side of the switch, and a supporting plate extending out from an end of the connecting plate and located below the switch. A raised portion protrudes down from the supporting plate. The raised portion is supported on the server.

Server cabinet

A mounting device for mounting a hard disk drive (HDD), includes a number of retaining members each including a neck portion and a head portion, an elastic latching member including a stop portion, and a number of vibration attenuation members fixed on a bottom wall of the HDD. Each vibration attenuation member includes a top portion, a bottom portion defining a mounting hole, and two elastic portions. The mounting hole defines a first hole and a second hole smaller in width than the first hole and communicating with the first hole. The retaining members are inserted into the first holes of the corresponding mounting holes, the HDD is moved until the neck portions of the retaining members engage in the second holes of the plurality of vibration attenuation members. The stop portion abuts against an end wall of the HDD.

Mounting device for hard disk drive

A mounting apparatus includes a bracket and two shafts. The bracket includes a fixing plate defining a number of horizontally arranged vents, for mounting a number of fans to the rear side of the fixing plate, with each vent aligning with one of the fans. The shafts are respectively and horizontally mounted to a top and a middle of a front side of the bracket. A number of shield plates are rotatably connected to the shafts. The shield plates hang vertically under the corresponding shafts by gravity. Each of the vents is covered by two vertically aligned shield plates upon a condition that the gravity of the two shield plates are not overcome by airflows passing through the vents.

Mounting apparatus for fans

A mounting device for mounting a fan having two opposite boards includes a base board and two fixing members. The base board forms two rods. Each fixing member includes a connecting portion and two tabs perpendicularly extending up from the connecting portion. The connecting portion defines a fixing hole in which a corresponding rod engages. Four fasteners respectively extend through the tabs and then engage in the opposite boards of the fan, to fix the fixing members to the boards of the fan, respectively. A resilient member is mounted to a bottom of each fixing member for absorbing vibrations of the fan.

Mounting device for fan

A central processing unit socket assembly includes a socket mounted on a circuit board, a locking apparatus, and a cover. The cover includes a main plate, a resilient first locking portion formed on a first end of a first surface of the main plate, a second locking portion formed on a second end of the first surface of the main plate opposite to the first locking portion, and a number of connecting pins protruding out from a second surface of the main plate opposite to the first surface of the main plate. The first and second locking portion of the first surface of the cover can be detachably latched to the socket. The connecting pins can be connected on the locking apparatus.

Central processing unit socket assembly

A mounting device for mounting a fan includes a base board and two fixing assemblies. The fan includes two opposite boards. The base board forms four rods. Each fixing assembly includes a receiving member and an engaging member. The receiving member includes a first pole capable of extending through a corresponding one of the boards and a first block abutting against an outer surface of the board. The engaging member includes a second pole capable of extending though the other one of the boards to be engaged in the first pole, and a second block abutting against an outer surface of the other board. Each of the first and second blocks defines a fixing hole through which a corresponding one of the rods is capable of extending.

A lane jumper for transmitting at least one lane from a first interface to a second interface is disclosed. The at least one lane is connected with the first interface. The first interface defines a first pin group and a second pin group, and the second interface defines a third pin group connected with the second pin group. The lane jumper includes a fourth pin group and a fifth pin group, wherein the fourth pin group and the fifth pin group of the lane jumper are configured for being respectively connected with the first pin group and the second pin group. The at least one lane is transmitted from the first interface to the second interface sequentially through the first pin group, the fourth pin group, the fifth pin group, the second pin group, and the third pin group.

An electronic device includes an air dam module. The air dam module includes a frame defining a vent, a first rotating member, a second rotating member, and two third rotating members. The first rotating member is rotatably connected to a surface bounding the vent, to vertically block a lower half of the vent by its gravity. The second rotating member is rotatably connected to the surface bounding the vent. The third rotating members are rotatably connected to opposite ends of the second rotating member. The second and third rotating members vertically block an upper half of the vent by their gravities.

Air dam module and electronic device having the same

An attachment mechanism for an electronic component includes a circuit board and a fastener. A first connector is fastened to the circuit board to be connected to a second connector of the electronic component. The first connector includes a mounting portion fastened to the circuit board and a large main body on a top of the mounting portion to connect to the second connector. A fastener includes a top wall, two engaging portions engaging with opposite sides of the electronic component, and two cantilevers slantingly extending toward each other from bottoms of the corresponding engaging walls. Two claws extend from each cantilever to engage with a corresponding end of the mounting portion and abut against a bottom surface of the main body.

Attachment mechanism for electronic component

An electronic device includes a base, two parallel mounting plates extending from the base, and a dummy hard disk drive. Each of the mounting plates defines two mounting holes. The dummy hard disk drive includes a bottom plate, two side plates pivotably mounted to two opposite sides of the bottom plate, and two end plates pivotably mounted to two opposite ends of the bottom plate. Two mounting rods extend from an outer surface of each of the side plates. The side plates and the end plates can hinge so as to be substantially perpendicular to the bottom plate, to form a hollow rectangular frame. The mounting rods are inserted in the corresponding mounting holes, to mount the dummy hard disk drive between the mounting plates.

A mounting device for mounting a fan includes a base board and two blocks to be mounted on opposite sides of a bottom of the fan. The base board forms two rods. Each block defines a fixing hole in which a corresponding rod engages. A resilient member is mounted to a bottom of each block for absorbing vibrations of the fan. The resilient member includes an arc-shaped main piece, and two fixing pieces respectively extending from opposite ends of the main piece to be mounted to opposite ends of the corresponding block, respectively.
