A label for in-mold forming comprising a thermoplastic resin film with a heat-sealable layer, a printable thermoplastic resin film, and an antenna and an IC chip. The antenna and the IC chip are interposed between the thermoplastic resin films. The label is strong and water resistant with a high adhesive strength. The label has the function of an IC label and has a printable surface. Also provided is a thermoplastic resin container bearing the label. Bonding the label to a thermoplastic resin container does not damage the IC chip and antenna.

A label for in-mold molding, which comprises a laminate film comprising a substrate layer (A) and a heat-sealable resin layer (B), wherein the substrate layer (A) comprises a thermoplastic resin in an amount of from 40 to 90% by weight and at least one of an inorganic fine powder and an organic filler in an amount of from 10 to 60% by weight, the heat-sealable resin layer (B) comprises a thermoplastic resin in an amount of from 50 to 100% by weight, the laminate film is at least uniaxially stretched, the porosity of the laminate film is from 10% to 45%, the thermal conductivity of the label is from 0.04 to 0.11 W/mK, and the bonding strength of the label stuck to an adherend formed of a propylene-based resin at 200&#xb0; C. and 60 MPa is from 250 to 1500 g/15 mm.

A label for in-mold forming which comprises a thermoplastic resin film base layer (I), a heat-sealable resin layer (II), and an antistatic layer (III), wherein the heat-sealable resin layer (II) comprises a heat-sealable resin including a copolymer of propylene and &#x3b1;-olefin having 4-20 carbon atoms and has a degree of non-crystallinity of 60-90% as determined with a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) at temperatures less than 90&#xb0; C., the antistatic layer (III) comprises an antistatic agent in an amount of 0.001 to 1 g per unit area (m) and the surface of the layer has a wettability index (JIS-K-6768) of 32-54 mN/m, and the label has a porosity higher than 10% and not higher than 70% and has an opacity (JIS-P-8138) higher than 20% and not higher than 100%; and a labeled container with the label.

The invention provides an in-mold label which enables the degree of scumming to be judged during printing and imparts a good appearance to molded articles produced through in-mold molding, and which comprises a base layer (I), a heat-sealable resin layer (II), and a printable layer (III) and has a haze in whole layer of 80-100% and an internal haze of 0-20%. The invention further provides a molded article obtained using the label.

An in-mold label comprising an olefinic resin substrate layer (A) having a wetting index (&#x3b1;) of from 34 to 74 mN/m and a heat-sealable resin layer (B) with an antistatic layer having a wetting index (&#x3b2;) of from 30 to 54 mN/m, wherein the absolute value of the initial frictional charge voltage of the substrate layer (A) relative to a sheet offset printing blanket is from 0 kV to 15 kV. This label has good workability in printing, cutting and blanking even in a low-humidity environment.

A porous resin film which is obtained from a compound prepared by kneading a composition comprising 30 to 100% by weight of a thermoplastic resin comprising a hydrophilic thermoplastic resin and 0 to 70% by weight of an inorganic and/or an organic powder in an intermeshing twin-screw extruder at a screw shear rate of 300 secor higher and which has a liquid absorbing capacity of 0.5 ml/mor more as measured in accordance with the method specified in Japan TAPPI Standard No. 51-87.

Disclosed is an in-mold labeled thermoplastic resin container specifically so designed that the ratio of the product A of the Gurley stiffness (m&#xb7;kgf) and the 3% elongation load (kgf) of the label-edge part of the labeled area thereof to the product B of the Gurley stiffness and the 3% elongation load of the label-surrounding part of the non-labeled area thereof, A/B, is at most 0.6. The container has good drop impact fracture resistance and has good producibility, and it is lightweight.

An object of the present invention is to provide recording paper and label paper with excellent waterproof properties, reduced curling from heat when used as recording paper in a heat-fixing type electrophotographic printer, a heat-fixing type electrophotographic copier or a direct heat-sensitive printer, excellent paper delivery properties, and capable of providing continuous printing of multiple sheets. A further object of the invention is to provide recording paper and label paper with excellent waterproof properties as the base materials of masking seals and re-covering-preventing labels, and requiring no special process to start peeling. The present invention provides recording paper comprising resin film (A) containing a thermoplastic resin, and at least one of inorganic fine powder and an organic filler, wherein the heat of crystallization is 60 J/cmor lower, and label paper using the same.

Recording paper and label paper using the same

The present invention provides less expensive ink jet recording papers having high glossiness and high durability and being capable of quickly absorbing inks without causing bleeding. Accordingly, the present invention provides an ink jet recording paper having an ink-receiving layer provided on a porous resin film, wherein the porous resin film has a liquid absorption capacity measured in accordance with 'Japan TAPPI No.51-87' of 0.5 ml/m2 or above and the ink-receiving layer has a surface glossiness (JIS-Z8741: measuring method at 60&#xb0;) of 40% or above. It is preferable that the ink jet recording paper contains at least one member selected from among alumina, alumina hydrate and amorphous silica in the ink-receiving layer.

A porous resin film which comprises 30 to 90 wt % of a thermoplastic resin containing a hydrophilic thermoplastic resin component; and 70 to 10 wt % of an inorganic or organic fine powder was disclosed. The porous resin film of the present invention is valuable as an ink-jet recording medium since the film shows excellent ink absorbing and drying properties even when a large amount of ink is discharged thereon, and thus can produce thereon a high-definition image.

The invention provides a porous resin film having a good absorption of water content as a solvent for aqueous ink or aqueous paste and a recording medium comprising the porous resin film. The recording medium is characterized by the capability of absorbing an ink without density unevenness even during ink jet recording if the ejected amount of ink is great. The invention lies in a porous resin film comprising: a thermoplastic resin in an amount of 30 to 90% by weight; and an inorganic and/or organic finely divided powder in an amount of 10 to 70% by weight, wherein the inorganic and/or organic finely divided powder is surface-treated with a surface treating agent (A) made of a copolymer of diallylamine salt or alkyl diallylamine salt (a1) with a nonionic hydrophilic vinyl monomer (a2) and an anionic surface treating agent (B), and the porous resin film has a liquid absorption capacity of not smaller than 0.5 ml/m as measured by &ldquo;Japan TAPPI No. 51-87&rdquo;.

The present invention provides a novel pressure-sensitive adhesive label which curls little even under the coldest conditions and which has as a surface material a microporous stretched resin film obtained by stretching a crystalline polyolefin resin film containing an inorganic fine powder, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on one side of the surface material and a release paper provided on the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, where the microporous stretched resin film satisfies the following physical properties (1) and (2):
