A proximity ventilated cooking system for interior use is provided with means for providing effective exhaustive ventilation to maintain in a variety of installations an air flow velocity adjacent the burners and throughout the exhaust system that has sufficient velocity to capture and carry to atmosphere substantially all of the cooking gasses, vapors and fumes produced in cooking, but insufficient velocity adjacent the burners to produce undesirable cooking and burner heat distribution, and where gas burners are used, interference with desirable flame patterns.

Proximity ventilated cooking system

A rotisserie accessory is provided for use with a cooking appliance having an airflow grill. Locking apparatus prevents rotational operation of a spit portion when the rotisserie accessory is improperly positioned on the cooking appliance.

Rotisserie interlock

A free-standing combination rotisserie and shish kebab accessory is provided which includes a three-walled box having a pair of wire frame members such that the two end walls fold flat for storage when the side wall is removed. A motor driven spit can be adpated for use as either a rotisserie or a shish kebab dependent on the use of meat supporting holders or skewer supporting wire wheels.
