A pressure measurement system may provide ready manufacturing, reliable operation, and/or enhanced performance by using a circuit board housing. In particular implementations, a pressure measurement system includes a pressure inlet joint, a pressure detecting component, a circuit board, and a circuit board housing. The pressure detecting component is coupled to the pressure inlet joint, which is adapted to introduce a pressure of a fluid. The circuit board is coupled to the pressure detecting component and is operable to condition an electrical signal from the pressure detecting component. The circuit board housing at least partially encloses the pressure detecting component and is adapted to engage the circuit board. The circuit board housing has a substantially cylindrical shape and includes a larger diameter section and a smaller diameter section, the smaller diameter section coupled to the pressure inlet joint, the circuit board located at least in part in the larger diameter section.

System and method for pressure measurement

A system and method for pressure measurement may include the ability to readily produce a pressure measurement system. In one general aspect, a process for producing a pressure measurement system includes providing an assembly including a stem, a pressure detector, and a first circuit board. The pressure detector is operable to generate a signal based on pressure introduced through the stem, and the circuit board is operable to condition the signal. The process also includes compensating the assembly, determining a signal output type for a pressure measurement system that will include the assembly, and installing a second circuit board that produces the signal output type without materially affecting the compensation.

A dual range dynamic pressure differential generator for use at low pressures using a differential over a variable valve for a first stage pressure differential and the differential over a flow accelerator for a second stage pressure differential. The differential over the variable valve is useful for higher pressure differentials while the differential created over the flow accelerator is useful for a lower range pressure differential, although the two ranges may overlap.

Portable differential pressure generator

A compact, portable and NIST traceable pressure source dynamically generates very low pressures includes at least one adjustable valves in-line with a fluid, such as air, flowing through the valve. A differential pressure is created across a pressure control device downstream from the valve. The differential pressure varies depending on the volume of the gas flow and the amount of resistance to the gas flow. The pressure generating device utilizes a miniature pump to create a pressure, or, alternatively, a vacuum, that causes gas flow. The pressure generating device is compact and capable of providing a very low and stable differential pressure by using a dynamic flow that compensates for temperature changes and volume changes. The compact module may be configured as a plug-in module for existing handheld calibrators for operator ease of use.

Pressure generator for portable instrument

A polyimide adhesive is applied in liquid form between surfaces of a pressure transducer glass surface and a glass pedestal tube and maintained at room temperature, or below, for a period of 10-15 hours to allow the adhesive solvent to evaporate. After such time, the temperature of the transducer and attached pedestal tube is elevated over a period of time to about 320.degree. C. to completely imidize the polyimide adhesive. The pedestal is then fixed within an opening in a base portion of a case, and electrical conductors are connected between pins in the case and transducer contacts. A cover is hermetically sealed to the case to thereby encase the transducer.

Transducer glass bonding technique

A generally cylindrical plug is adapted for a snug fit in a socket bore communicating with the inlet of a pressure gauge. The plug includes an upstream portion and an axially contiguous downstream portion, each cooperating with the surrounding surface of the socket bore to define a continuous flow path communicating inward to the sensing unit of the gauge. Through the upstream portion, the flow path is annular in cross-section between the plug surface and the bore surface while the downstream portion defines a helical flow path communicating with the open bore downstream thereof. Dimensionally critical in the relationship of the flow path defined in the upstream portion, versus the flow path defined in the downstream portion is the requirement that the former have a clearance dimension relatively smaller than the minimum clearance dimension through the cross-section of the latter.

Pulsation throttling device for a pressure gauge

An elongated actuator pin in a pressure gauge extends from a fixed end to a free end to interact with the amplifier for enabling pivotal motion thereof to translate Bourdon displacement to an output pointer. A clamp slideably mounted on the actuator pin is operatively effective when set at a selected location along the pin length to variably offset the free end of the pin from its longitudinal axis for obtaining correct calibration adjustment of the gauge.
