Metal film thickness can be determined using the sheet resistance, resistivity, and temperature coefficient of resistivity for the metal film. Variation in film thickness measurements caused by resistivity can be reduced or eliminated. A probe head may be used for some of the measurements of the metal film. The probe head can include a temperature sensor used during sheet resistance measurements. A wafer on a chuck is heated, such as using the chuck or the probe head, for the measurements.

Session Inter-Device (SID) mobility networks () are described in which a seamless transfer of a communication session from a first device () to a second device () can be achieved without interrupting the active session. According to the SID mobility network (), the transfer can be accomplished by transferring away from the Transferring Node or first device () the IP address associated with the active session () so that the network () will route the session to the desired Target Node or second device (). The Transferring Node () transfers its IP address () to the Agent () and stops requesting data packets addressed to its IP address (). The Agent () then begins to request and eventually receive the packets addressed to the Transferring Node's IP address (). The Agent () then transfers the packets to the Target Node (). In an alternate SID mobility network (), the Transferring Node () transfers a session specific IP address () to the Agent (). The Agent () then transfers packets sent to the session specific IP address () to the Target Node (). In another SID mobility network (), the Transferring Node () obtains a temporary IP address () and transfers its IP address () to a Session Agent (). The Session Agent () begins to request and eventually receive the packets addressed to the Transferring Node's IP address (164), and for each received packet determines if it belongs to the session the Transferring Node () requested to transfer to the Target Node (). If it does, the Session Agent () will transfer the packet to the Target Node () at the Target Node's IP address (). If it does not, the Session Agent () will transfer the packet to the Transferring Node () at its temporary IP address (). In each SID mobility network, the session with respect to the Correspondent Node continues without interruption throughout the transfer, thereby providing a seamless transfer of the session from a first device to a second device.

Method and apparatus for transferring a communication session

A method and apparatus for performing conductance measurements on a sample using an eddy current probe, without the need for measurement or knowledge of the separation between probe and sample. The probe comprises sense and drive coils mounted in close proximity to each other (or a single coil which functions as both a sense and drive coil), circuitry for producing AC voltage in the drive coil, and a meter for measuring in-phase and quadrature components of induced voltage in the sense coil. Look-up table data can be generated for use in subsequent measurements on samples of unknown conductance by performing eddy current measurements on samples having different known conductances to generate reference lift-off curves, processing the reference lift-off curves to determine a conductance function relating each known conductance to a location along a selected curve, and storing conductance values determined by the conductance function for different points on the selected curve as the look-up table data. An unknown sample conductance can then be determined by generating a lift-off curve from voltage measurements at different probe separations from the sample, determining a new intersection voltage pair representing the intersection of the lift-off curve with the selected curve, and determining the unknown conductance as a look-up table value indexed by the new intersection voltage pair.

A filter for use in a dry powder spray booth that includes a frame containing a quantity of pleated filter sheet material. The ends and sides of the pleated sheet are secured in the frame by a sealant. The material forming the pleated sheet is a fiber paper having a smooth and rough side and is treated with a flame retardant coating. The surface area of the pleated sheet is varied between five and ten times the interior area of the frame. The smooth side of the fiber paper faces upstream with respect to the air flow and the filter is positioned at an acute angle to the vertical with the top inclined upstream. The frame is provided with a manual vibrator and an expanded wire mesh on the downstream side.

Filter for use in dry powder spray coating systems

A liquid to powder spray booth conversion insert compartment is provided that can be rolled up to a conventional wet paint spray booth to convert it to dry powder usage. A pleated fiber filter having a pore size of 20 microns inclined above powder collection trays is provided to allow collection and reuse of the powdered materials. A prefilter of progressive weave filter material is provided at the input side of the compartment to remove large size matter while allowing the sprayed powder particles to pass therethrough.

Liquid to powder spray booth conversion insert

An ammonia-based double-alkali process for removing sulfur oxides from stack gases. In this process, usually continuous, stack gases are contacted with an aqueous wash liquid containing ammonium sulfite as a sulfur oxide reactive compound to form a spent absorbent liquor containing bisulfite, sulfite and sulfate salts of ammonia. A portion of the reactive compound is regenerated by reacting the spent scrubbing liquor with a source of calcium ions, usually limestone. During the regeneration, calcium sulfite solids are precipitated as a by-product, any gypsum solids precipitation during the process being tolerated for a time insufficient to degrade substantially process performance. The resultant calcium solids are separated from the regenerated liquor which is returned for further contact with the stack gases, a portion of these solids being recycled to the regeneration stage. The process is preferably regulated by monitoring and controlling of the calcium concentration of the regenerated liquor, upset conditions being corrected by the addition of make-up ammonia during regeneration of the liquor.
