A cooling arrangement for a kitchen provided for installation in a means of transport comprises a cooling circuit which can have a cooling medium flowing through it and in which a condenser and an evaporator are arranged. The condenser is accommodated in a condenser housing and is arranged in a first installation space which is intended to form a first sub-region of the kitchen. The evaporator is accommodated in an evaporator housing formed separately from the condenser housing, and is arranged in a second installation space which is intended to form a second sub-region of the kitchen.

A trolley compartment for an on-board kitchen intended for installation in a transport vehicle comprises a frontal access aperture as well as a rear wall that lies opposite the access aperture. A worktop forms an upper boundary of the trolley compartment. A first cooling fluid duct, which is connectable to an interior space of the trolley compartment via at least one first cooling fluid aperture, is integrated into or arranged adjacent to the worktop. At least one first removable cooling fluid aperture cover is selectively mountable in the first cooling fluid duct over the first cooling fluid aperture to separate the first cooling fluid duct from the interior space of the trolley compartment, or demountable from the first cooling fluid duct to connect the first cooling fluid duct to the interior space of the trolley compartment via the first cooling fluid aperture.

A cooling system for a galley installed in a transportation device, in particular an aircraft, has a cooling device with a coolant circuit configured to have a coolant flow therethrough. A fluid line is configured to have a fluid to be cooled flow therethrough and is thermally coupled with the coolant circuit to transfer heat from the fluid to be cooled to the coolant circulating in the coolant circuit, and an air line configured to be flowed through with air and thermally coupled to the coolant circuit of the cooling device to transfer heat from the coolant to the air line. The air line, downstream of the thermal coupling of the air line with the coolant circuit, is connectable to a cabin region of the transportation device accommodating the galley to supply the cabin region with air warmed by heat transfer from the coolant circulating in the coolant circuit.

Cooling system for a galley, and method of operating such a cooling system

A galley cooling system for installation in a transportation means, in particular an aircraft, comprises a cooling device comprising a coolant circuit configured to be flowed through with a coolant. The cooling system further comprises a first fluid line configured to be flowed through with a first fluid and being thermally coupled with the coolant circuit to transfer heat from the first fluid line fluid to the coolant circuit coolant, and a second fluid line configured to be flowed through with a second fluid and being thermally coupled to the coolant circuit to transfer heat from the coolant circuit coolant to the second fluid line fluid. The second fluid line comprises a first portion integrated into or arranged adjacent to a galley worktop, the first portion of the second fluid line being configured to be flowed through with the second fluid in a direction parallel to the worktop.

Space-optimized cooling system for a galley, and method of operating such a cooling system

A galley cooling system for an aircraft includes a trolley compartment which includes a cooling unit. A first cooling fluid manifold connects to a cooling fluid outlet or a cooling fluid inlet and has a first cooling fluid manifold wall defining a portion of a lateral boundary of a receiving space of the trolley compartment. A first cooling fluid opening is in the first cooling fluid manifold wall connecting the first cooling fluid manifold to the receiving space of the trolley compartment. A second cooling fluid manifold connected to the cooling fluid inlet or outlet of the cooling unit has a second cooling fluid manifold wall defining a portion of an upper boundary of the receiving space of the trolley compartment, a second cooling fluid opening in the second cooling fluid manifold wall to connect the second cooling fluid manifold to the receiving space of the trolley compartment.

Galley cooling system and method of operating a galley cooling system

An aircraft cooling system including a cooler which is adapted to supply cooling energy to an aircraft device to be cooled, and a heat transfer arrangement which is adapted to transfer waste heat generated by the cooler to a cabin air extraction system. The heat transfer arrangement comprises a heat transfer circuit, in which a liquid heat transfer medium heated by the waste heat of the cooler circulates.

An aircraft air-conditioning system including an air-conditioning unit which is designed to provide cooled process air. A process air line conducts cooled process air provided by the air-conditioning unit into a working area of an aircraft cabin. A cooler supplies cooling energy to a device to be cooled which is provided in the working area of the aircraft cabin. Finally, the aircraft air-conditioning system includes a heat transfer arrangement which transfers waste heat generated by the cooler to process air flowing through the process air line.

The invention relates to a method for operating an aircraft cooling system (), comprising the steps guiding a cooling medium through a cooling circuit () which is coupled to a refrigerating machine () and to at least one cooling energy consumer (-) in order to supply cooling medium cooled by the refrigerating machine () to the cooling energy consumer (-), and controlling the operation of the refrigerating machine () by a control unit (), such that coolant medium cooled by the refrigerating machine () to a predetermined cooling medium flow temperature is supplied to the cooling energy consumer (-). The method for operating an aircraft cooling system () further comprises detecting a cooling energy requirement of the cooling energy consumer (-) and transmitting a signal indicative of the cooling energy requirement of the cooling energy consumer (-) to the control unit (). The operation of the refrigerating machine () is controlled by the control unit () in such a way that cooling medium which is guided through the cooling circuit () is cooled to a cooling medium flow temperature which is adapted to the cooling energy requirement of the cooling energy consumer (-).
