A method is provided for foaming a ballast bed of a railway track wherein the railway track comprises sleepers positioned on the ballast bed and rails positioned on the sleepers, wherein the rails are covered at least in a partial area along a region of the ballast bed to be foamed, and a foaming agent is introduced into the ballast bed while the rails are covered, wherein the ballast bed has in a sleeper bay defined by two successive sleepers an upper side facing against the gravitational direction, and the ballast bed is heaped up so that the upper side of the ballast bed reaches at least up to an underneath side of the sleeper facing in the gravitational direction.

Method for covering a ballast bed with foam in a railway track system

The invention relates to a method for producing load transferring regions in a ballast body of a track superstructure by introducing curable liquid plastics or reactive plastic mixtures from a mixing unit by means of at least two distributor pipes with outlets into the load transferring regions and allowing the plastic or the reactive plastic mixture to cure in said load transferring regions. The two distributor pipes with outlets are positioned on the left or on the right from the outside of the rails into the region between the two rails such that the outlets are located adjacent to each other and are laterally spaced from the front face () of the tie () that has the load transferring region to be reinforced. The two outlets are opened in order to allow the plastic or the reactive plastic mixture to exit at a controlled rate. Each distributor pipe outlet is guided to the respective end face (') of the tie () from the inside to the outside in a lateral manner with respect to the front face () of the tie () and around the respective end face (&#x2032;) of the tie () to the rear face () of the tie (). The distributor pipe outlets are guided in a lateral manner along the rear face () of the tie () into the region between the two rails (&#x2032;) such that the outlets are located adjacent to each other and are laterally spaced from the rear face () of the tie ().

Method for producing a lightweight, sound insulating covering for motor vehicles and corresponding covering

The invention relates to a lightweight sound insulating lining () for a body component of a motor vehicle, in particular in the form of a lightweight front wall lining, comprising a sound absorbing layer, a sound insulating layer which is directly connected to the sound absorbing layer and substantially air tight, as well as an adjoining foam layer (), wherein the sound absorbing layer () is made of a porous absorber, preferably a fiber fleece or a foam, which has an air permeability in the range of 150 to 2000 liters/ms at a test pressure of 100 Pa. The sound insulating layer () is formed by an integral skin layer of the foam layer () with a thickness of at least 0.5 mm, and is integrally joined to the porous absorber by back-foaming the porous absorber substantially without foam penetration therethrough. Furthermore, a method for manufacturing such a lining is disclosed.
