A water-repellent member includes a matrix part including an inorganic substance including at least one of a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide, and a water-repellent resin present in a dispersed state inside the matrix part. The water-repellent member has a porosity of 20% or less in a section of the matrix part. A building member and a wet room member each include the water-repellent member.

A wavelength conversion member converts a wavelength of laser light. The wavelength conversion member includes a substrate having reflectivity with respect to the laser light, and a phosphor layer including a phosphor for converting the laser light into light having a longer wavelength than that of the laser light, the phosphor layer being on the substrate. The phosphor layer includes a plurality of concave parts, each having a depth of 50% or more and 80% or less with respect to a film thickness of the phosphor layer and an opening width of 50 &#x3bc;m or more, on a surface of the phosphor layer, the surface irradiated with the laser light. An illumination device includes a housing including an opening portion, a wavelength converting component which is disposed inside the housing and radiates wavelength-converted light having a different wavelength from that of a laser beam after the laser beam enters the component, an optical film which covers the opening portion and has optical properties such that the transmittance for the wavelength-converted light is 80% or more and the transmittance for the laser beam at the peak wavelength is 80% or less of the transmittance for the wavelength-converted light at the peak wavelength, and a light diffusing structure which is disposed on at least part of the inner wall of the housing and diffusely reflects the laser beam reflected at least by the optical film.

Illumination device

Alight emitting device (A) includes a laser light source () that emits laser light (), a housing (A) that includes a bottom wall () and a side wall, and a first wavelength converter () provided on the side wall, the first wavelength converter () containing a first phosphor. The bottom wall of the housing is irradiated with the laser light emitted from the laser light source, and the first phosphor is excited by diffused light of the laser light diffused by the bottom wall. With such a configuration, the light emitting device (A) improves color uniformity and chromaticity flexibility while increasing power density of output light.

A wavelength conversion member includes: a substrate; and a wavelength converter that converts color of incident light, the wavelength converter being provided on a surface of the substrate. The wavelength converter has: inorganic phosphor particles which convert the color of the incident light; and a binder layer that fixes the inorganic phosphor particle to one another, the binder layer including at least one type of metal oxides with a melting point of 800&#xb0; C. or less. The substrate and the wavelength converter are fixed to each other by the binder layer of the wavelength converter.

This invention relates to a fine powder-coated amine comprising a solid amine having a melting point equal to or higher than 50&#xb0; C. and a mean particle size equal to or smaller than 20 &#x3bc;m. The fine powder-coated amine has an amount of heat in the second absorption peak measured by a differential scanning calorimeter equal to or less than 220 J/g, and the surface of the solid amine is coated with fine powder having a mean particle size equal to or smaller than 2 &#x3bc;m.

A light-emitting device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a light transmissive first electrode layer, a light transmissive second electrode layer, an electroluminescent layer between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, and a reflective layer located on a side opposite to the electroluminescent layer with respect to the second electrode layer. The reflective layer includes a base material having a refractive index equal to or higher than a refractive index of the electroluminescent layer, and fillers each having a refractive index different from that of the base material.

An underfilling material for a semiconductor package holding semiconductor elements on a carrier substrate mounted on a circuit board, containing a one-pack type thermosetting urethane composition which preferably comprises a urethane prepolymer having a terminal isocyanate group, which is obtained by reacting a polyol with an excessive amount of a polyisocyanate, and a fine powder-coated curing agent comprising a curing agent which is in a solid state at room temperature and surface active sites of which are covered with a fine powder. This composition can achieve both the low temperature curing properties and the storage stability.
