A fuel supply system includes a low pressure fuel pump, which suctions and discharges fuel accumulated in a fuel tank, and a high pressure fuel pump, which suctions and discharges the fuel discharged from the low pressure fuel pump and supplies the fuel to a fuel injection valve installed in an internal combustion engine, the low pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pump, and fuel injection valve being connected in series, wherein the low pressure fuel pump and high pressure fuel pump are configured in such a way as to be driven or stopped independently of each other, one by each motor, and the pressure of the fuel discharged from the high pressure fuel pump is made variable by a combination of the drive or stop of the low pressure fuel pump and the drive or stop of the high pressure fuel pump.

Fuel supply system

A tappet turning prevention structure for a fuel supply apparatus includes a piston defining a fuel pressurizing chamber within the housing. A tappet disposed at one end of the piston has accommodated in it a roller driven by a cam of an engine and a roller supporting pin for transmitting a force from the cam to the piston. The tappet is housed by a bracket which has one or two grooves in an inner surface of it for supporting the roller supporting pin at one or both ends. The number of parts can be decreased because the turning prevention pin for the tappet and the roller supporting pin is a single common pin, and therefore the need of controlling of the press-fit loads is eliminated because no process for thrusting the tappet turning prevention pin into the outer circumference of the tappet is involved.

Tappet turning-prevention structure for fuel supply apparatus

The fuel supplying apparatus of the invention includes a fuel injector 1 injecting a fuel; a fuel tank 2; fuel paths 4 and 5 connecting the fuel injector 1 and the fuel tank 2; a low-pressure fuel pump 10 provided in the upstream; a high-pressure fuel pump 3 which is provided between the low-pressure fuel pump 10 and the fuel injector 1, a cylinder having a hole 41a, and a plunger 43 arranged reciprocally movably in the hole 41a, sucks and pressurizes the fuel through a suction port 5c into the fuel pressurizing chamber 45, discharges the pressurized fuel from a discharge port 4d, and pressure-transfers the fuel to the fuel injector 1; and a high-pressure regulator, which is provided between the high-pressure fuel pump 3 of the fuel path 4 and adjusts pressure of the fuel discharged from the high-pressure fuel pump 3.

Fuel supplying apparatus

The present invention relates to a high-pressure fuel pump assembly 200, which supplies high-pressure fuel from a fuel supply port 9 to a delivery pipe 1a, wherein the high-pressure fuel pump assembly 200 comprises: a high-pressure pump 20 having an intake valve 22 and a discharge valve 21; a fuel discharge passage 4 connecting the discharge valve 21 to the fuel supply port 9; and a high-pressure damper 60 disposed in the fuel discharge passage 4; and a first check valve 210, which opens when the pressure on the voluminous chamber side is a fixed value lower than the pressure on the discharge valve side, is provided within the fuel discharge passage 4 between the high-pressure damper 60 and the discharge valve 21. The first check valve may be a ball valve or a reed valve, and a second check valve may be provided between the fuel supply port 9 and the high-pressure damper 60. The cross-sectional area of the fuel discharge passage 4 may be equal to or greater than the cross-sectional area of the fuel outlet 4a along the entire length of the fuel discharge passage 4.

High-pressure fuel pump assembly

A high pressure fuel injection pump includes: a casing; a pump body arranged in the casing, the pump body having a piston and a sleeve reciprocating the piston therein; and a high pressure damper arranged in the casing and communicating with a discharge passage side of the pump body. The pump body and the high pressure damper are coaxially arranged in the casing.

High pressure fuel injection pump

A high-pressure fuel supply pump with high performance is capable of securely preventing a cylinder section from seizing up and also permits improved sealing performance to minimize the chance of fuel leakage. The high-pressure fuel supply pump has: a casing (48) having a cylindrical cavity (48a); a sleeve (40) which has a cylinder section (40a) and a fixing section (40c), one end thereof closer to the fixing section (40c) being abutted against the bottom of the cavity (48a); and a piston (53) which is disposed in the cylinder section (40a). The high-pressure fuel supply pump takes in fuel through an intake passage (36) by the reciprocation of the piston (53) into a fuel pressurizing chamber (52) to pressurize it, then discharges the pressurized fuel through a discharge passage (37) to forcibly feed it into a fuel injector of a cylinder injection engine. A cylindrical slit (40d) is provided between the cylinder section (40a) and the fixing section (40c) of the sleeve (40), and the fixing section (40c) is secured by being fastened toward the bottom of a cavity (48a) by a cylindrical fastening member (64) screwed to the cavity (48a).

High-pressure fuel supply pump

In a swash plate type axial piston pump, a swash plate 23 is fixed and supported in a cabinet while being inclined with respect to the center axial line of a rotary shaft 3. A cylinder block 15 having a plurality of cylinders 13 is attached to the rotary shaft 3 so that the cylinder block 15 slides of the rotary shaft 3 in the axial direction thereof and is rotated integrally therewith. Each one end of a plurality of pistons 21 is slidingly engaged with the cylinder 13 and the other end thereof is abutted against the swash plate 23 through a shoe 25. A valve plate 31 having a suction port 33 and a discharge port 35 is disposed so as to be abutted against the inner surface of the cabinet 1 and the bottom the cylinder block 15 so that a suction path 39 and a discharge path 41 in the cabinet 1 are selectively communicated with a pump chamber 14 in each cylinder through the suction port 33 and the discharge port 35. An operating oil is supplied to the sliding portion between the valve plate 31 and the bottom of the cylinder block 15 by a lubrication means. With this arrangement, since the operating oil is positively supplied to the sliding portion being rotated of the swash plate type axial piston pump, the sliding portion is sufficiently lubricated even if the pump is started to thereby prevent the dry state of the pump.
