Disclosed are methods, apparatuses, and systems for resource selection for a user equipment (UE) in a first sidelink communication. The method includes: determining, by a first sidelink communication module, a selection window; setting at least one first threshold parameter for a resource exclusion at the first sidelink communication module; initializing a candidate resource set; receiving, from a second sidelink communication module, at least one of: at least one second threshold parameter used for a resource exclusion at the second sidelink communication module, sidelink sensing information obtained by the second sidelink communication module, or resource reservation information collected by the second sidelink communication module; determining one or more final candidate resources in the first sidelink communication using the at least one first threshold parameter and the at least one information received from the second sidelink communication module; and reporting the determined one or more final candidate resources to a higher layer.

Methods and apparatuses for coexistence of sidelink communications

The disclosure includes embodiments for executing a beam alignment for a millimeter wave (mmWave) communication based on position data. In some embodiments, a method for an ego vehicle includes determining a beam sweeping direction setting for a mmWave beam alignment with an endpoint based on position data that describes a geographic location of the endpoint. The method includes modifying an operation of a Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) radio of the ego vehicle to perform the mmWave beam alignment with the endpoint based on the beam sweeping direction setting so that an efficiency of the mmWave beam alignment is improved.

A disclosed method may include capturing, via a camera, a first view in a first image, determining a first depth map based on the first image, obtaining, from an external system, a second image of a second view that overlaps the first view and a second depth map based on the second image, inputting the first image and the second image into a self-supervised homograph network that is trained to output a homographic transformation matrix between the first image and the second image, and generating a three-dimensional pseudo point cloud that combines the first depth map and the second depth map based on the homographic transformation matrix.

Systems and methods are provided for utilizing sensor data from sensors of different modalities and from different vehicles to generate a combined image of an environment. Sensor data, such as a point cloud, generated by a LiDAR sensor on a first vehicle may be combined with sensor data, such as image data, generated by a camera on a second vehicle. The point cloud and image data may be combined to provide benefits over either data individually and processed to provide an improved image of the environment of the first and second vehicles. Either vehicle can perform this processing when receiving the sensor data from the other vehicle. An external system can also do the processing when receiving the sensor data from both vehicles. The improved image can then be used by one or both of the vehicles to improve, for example, automated travel through or obstacle identification in the environment.

The disclosure includes embodiments for processing a set of wireless messages by an ego vehicle. A method includes determining a location of an object of interest in a roadway environment that includes the ego vehicle and a set of remote connected vehicles. The method includes segmenting the roadway environment into a plurality of segments. The method includes assigning priority scores to each of the segments based on (1) whether the forward-facing sensors of the remote connected vehicles present in the segment are capable of measuring the object of interest and (2) proximity of the remote connected vehicles in the segment to the object of interest, wherein segments have higher priority scores if the remote connected vehicles present in the segment have forward-facing sensors that are capable of measuring the object of interest and the remote connected vehicles present in the segment are closer to the object of interest.

An airbag device equipped in a vehicle seat. The vehicle seat has a structure in which a seat frame is arranged with left and right sides inside the seat back. The airbag device according to the present invention includes: an inflator that is secured to the side of the seat frame of the vehicle seat and an airbag that is stowed inside the seat back in an elongated and compressed state and is expanded and deployed by the expansion gas discharged from the inflator. The airbag in the stowed state is arranged along the seat frame, and includes a lower portion area lower than the inflator and an upper portion area above the inflator. The lower portion area is arranged inside the seat frame, and the upper portion area is arranged outside the seat frame.

A reflection of the electromagnetic energy can be received from the direction of the first object. A second possible position of the second object can be determined based on the reflection of the electromagnetic energy having traveled along a path outside of the line.
