A package (10) is disclosed including a tray (22) having an annular flange (34) extending from the open end (26) of a basket (24) receiving a promotional device (38). The open end (26) of the basket (24) is closed by a clear membrane label (32) extending thereover and onto the flange (34) to seal the promotional device (38) in the basket (24). The basket (24) is inserted into an opening (20) formed in a panel (14) of a carton (12) until the flange (34) abuts with the panel (14) around the opening (20). A second label (36) is secured over the tray (22) and to the panel (14) around the flange (34) to attach the tray (22) to the carton (12). To temporarily lock the tray (22) to the carton (12) prior to the securement of the second label (36), the basket ( 24) can be friction fit in the opening (20), can include detents (40) formed in the side walls (28) of the basket (24) for abutting with the panel (14) opposite to the flange (34), or the like.

Package including a separately formed premium tray

A pan (10) is formed from a single blank (12) of plastic-coated paperboard and is foldable between a three-dimensional, erect condition and a flat condition. In the flat condition, first and second isosceles trapezoid-shaped side panels (20) are folded about the side edges (18) of a bottom panel (14) to overlie the bottom panel (14) and with their upper edges (22) abutting. Additionally, in the flat condition, first and second triangular panels (34) are folded about the side edges (32) of end panels (28) to overlie the end panels (28). The end panels (28) are in the shape of isosceles trapezoids and are integrally connected to the opposite end edges (16) of the bottom panel (14) and extend continuously therefrom in the flat condition. Attachment panels (38) are foldable about the outer edges (36) of the triangular panels (34) and are secured to the side panels (20) with the side edges (24) of the side panels (20) abutting with and being foldable with the outer edges (36) of the triangular panels (34). In the three-dimensional condition, the side panels (20), the end panels (28), and the triangular panels (34) upstand from the bottom panel (14) to define a volume and form a water-tight container for holding batter. Once erected, tabs (48) can be folded down along a fold line (46) extending across the triangular panels (34) and the end panels (28) at the height of the side panels (20), with the folded tabs (48) helping hold the pan (10) in the erect condition and for use as handles in carrying the pan (10). In the preferred form, parabolic slots (50) are formed in the side panels (20) to prevent overfilling and for safety reasons.

Foldable, microwavable baking pan usable as a promotional device

A collapsible game (10) is disclosed having the rear face (20) of a first panel (14) secured to the back of a box (12) or like product. A second panel (16) is integrally formed and pivotal about the bottom edge (18) of the first panel (14) between a first, abutting position and a second, angular position. The panels (14, 16) are formed of paper stock with the box (12) and the support surface upon which the box (12) is placed providing external support for the panels (14, 16). A goal (48) is simultaneously pivotal with the panels (14, 16) between a first, flat condition intermediate the panels (14, 16) in the first position and a second condition with the goal (48) three dimensionally spaced from the panels (14, 16) in the second position. The goal (48) is integrally formed from a single blank and is planar in the flat condition. The panels (14, 16) are releasably held in the abutting position by side and top flaps (40, 44) integrally formed with the panels (14, 16) when the game is in its manufactured, collapsed, one-piece condition. The panels (14, 16) are releasably held and removably fastened in the abutting position by a tab (106) and a slot (108) die cut in the panels (14, 16) after the flaps (40, 44) have been released.
