Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a power semiconductor component arrangement or a power semiconductor component housing. The method involves a sintering process in which the plurality of layer-shaped unsintered ceramic substrates are converted into a sintered ceramic single layer or multilayer substrate or into a sintered ceramic single layer or multilayer interconnect device. Also disclosed is a power semiconductor component arrangement or a power semiconductor component housing that can be manufactured using the above method. Further disclosed are the uses of the power semiconductor component arrangement or the power semiconductor component housing.

Method of manufacturing a power semiconductor component arrangement or a power semiconductor component housing

The invention relates to a method for producing a component from ceramic materials in which a plurality of layers are applied to a base body by means of screen printing or template printing, said layers being formed from a ceramic material, in each case in a defined geometry above one another in the form of a paste or suspension in which powdery ceramic material and at least one binder are included. At least one region is formed here within at least one layer having a defined thickness and geometry composed of a further material that can be removed in a thermal treatment and that is likewise applied in the form of a paste or suspension by means of screen printing or template printing. Electrically functional structures composed of an electrically conductive or semiconductive material are applied to and/or formed on and/or in at least of the ceramic layers prior to the application of a further ceramic layer. The layer structure is then sintered in a thermal heat treatment, with the further material being removed and at least one hollow space being formed with defined dimensions of width, length, and height.

Method for producing a component from ceramic materials

The invention relates to a method for the determination of diffusion coefficients and/or exchange coefficient of a material having electronic and ionic conductivity. The material is permeable to at least one gas. It is the object of the invention to provide a cost-effective, accurate method for the determination of the diffusion coefficient and of the surface exchange coefficient which can be carried out in a short time and can thus be used for a screening of materials, in particular for application in the field of permeation membranes. The procedure is followed in accordance with the invention such that a sample of the material is arranged in a measurement chamber and has an electric current passed through it for a determination of the electric resistance. In this respect, a gas mixture in which the respective gas is contained is conducted through the measurement chamber as a gas flow and the partial pressure of the respective gas in the gas mixture is changed periodically at regular intervals. The change in the electric resistance of the sample is measured and a diffusion coefficient and/or exchange coefficient of the material can be determined for the respective gas from the determined change in the electric resistance.
