A system for autonomously measuring workpieces, the system comprising one or more mobile robots, configured to move autonomously in a production environment with a plurality of production facilities that produce a plurality of different workpieces, each of the mobile robots comprising a spatial localization system for deriving a location of the mobile robot in the production environment, an autonomous navigation and propulsion unit configured for providing mobility of the mobile robot in the production environment, a wireless communication interface providing a data link to at least one other mobile robot and/or to computation and storage system, wherein a first mobile robot comprises a sensor setup comprising one or more sensors and is configured to use one or more of the sensors for identifying a workpiece to be measured and for determining an at least rough position of the workpiece that allows collecting or measuring the workpiece.

Dynamical modeling of CMMs for numerically correcting measurement results

Object analysis comprising measuring a frequency-dependent natural oscillation behavior of the object by dynamically-mechanically exciting the object in a defined frequency range (f) by means of generating a body oscillation by applying a test signal, and detecting a body oscillation generated in the object on account of the exciting. Moreover, the method involves simulating a frequency-dependent natural oscillation behavior for the object by generating a virtual digital representation of the object, and carrying out a finite element analysis on the basis of the virtual representation comprising dynamically exciting, in a simulated manner, the virtual representation into a virtual frequency range for generating a virtual body oscillation, calculating the virtual body oscillation generated in the object on account of the exciting in a simulated manner, and deriving an object state on the basis of a comparison of the measured natural oscillation behavior and the simulated frequency-dependent natural oscillation behavior.

Oscillation analysis on an object produced by means of additive manufacturing

An additive manufacturing apparatus for manufacture of aluminum parts layer-by-layer, the apparatus comprising an eddy current sensor for in-process measuring of contour and defects of manufactured layers with a defect resolution of at least 0.25 mm. Preferably, the eddy current sensor is embodied as a differential mode line sensor with dual use of sensor coils. Preferably, the array of the line sensor comprises a zig-zag-arrangement of sensor coils with a cross section of 0.15 mmmaximal and with a core with an initial magnetic permeability of at least 5000, preferably a permalloy or metal glass coil core.

Eddy current sensor array and eddy current sensor system for additive manufacturing

A system comprising at least one mobile vehicle configured to move autonomously. The system utilizes an automatic deployment of a workflow comprising at least one current task. A mobile measurement vehicle with a spatial measurement sensor unit is configured to establish a temporary instance of a local spatial reference cell for a subset of multiple mobile vehicles and a work piece. The temporary instance of the spatial reference cell is established temporally and is established with an individual level of spatial accuracy and individual limited local range, which individual level is dynamically defined by an accuracy requirement of the current task.

The system comprises the tool positioning machine defining a machine coordinate system and having a base and a machine structure. The structure comprises a tool head and structural components for linking the tool head to the base, at least one drive mechanism for providing movability of the machine structure relative to the base, a position determining system for deriving at least one coordinate of the machine structure in the machine coordinate system and a controlling unit adapted for controlling movement of the machine structure.
