Estimated value of assembling-related fraction defective is arithmetically determined with high accuracy by executing an assembling-related fraction defective value estimating program on the basis of the data as inputted.

Disclosed is a pick and place unit having a first moving plate movably supported by a fixed plate and a second movable moving plate supported by the first moving plate movably in the direction crossing the moving direction of the first moving plate. The pick and place unit comprises: a first rod-shaped member secured to the fixed plate and disposed along the moving direction of the first moving plate; a second rod-shaped member secured to the second moving plate and disposed along the moving direction of the second moving plate; a movable stopper secured to the first moving plate and having bores, each having portions different in width from each other, for receiving the first and second rod-shaped members respectively; a driving member for moving the movable stopper; and stators fixed at any desired positions of the first and second rod-shaped members, respectively, so as to sandwich the movable stopper and adapted to abut against the movable stopper.

A guide roller of a tape traveling system of a video tape recorder and the like for changing the direction of travel of a magnetic tape and regulating the heightwise position of the tape during its travel including a roller body of a diameter not constant but smoothly varying axially thereof for exerting on the traveling tape a force tending to shift the tape axially. The guide roller has a flange at the top and the bottom of the roller body having a tape guide surface for contacting the edge of the tape which is not perpendicular to the axis of the roller body but convex as viewed from the respective end of the roller body, to prevent the edge of the tape from striking the edges of the flanges. The roller body may be conical at its outer peripheral surface and at the tape guide surface of each flange.

Tape guide of magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus

A magnetic-tape running system for a video tape recorder having inclined pins and/or guide rollers having distant flanges. The pins and the guide rollers are inclined at suitable angles in the front and back directions and left and right directions so that the tape is guided only at its lower edge in such a manner that the tape runs stably along the cylinder lead at a constant contact pressure.

A system for bringing a wire-shaped or tape-shaped carrier into contact with a carrier guide member in a predetermined position includes carrier withdrawing guide members each movable between an operative position in which the carrier is brought into contact with the carrier guide member and an inoperative position in which the carrier is out of contact with the carrier guide member. A plurality of strip-shaped power transmitting members formed to be flexible and connected at one end thereof to the carrier withdrawing guide members respectively are each slidably fitted in one of guide grooves of a guide groove member formed as an insert on the base. A drive connected to a motor is in engagement with the strip-shaped power transmitting members to drive the same and move the carrier withdrawing guide members connected to the strip-shaped power transmitting members, whereby the carrier withdrawing guide members can be moved between the operative and inoperative positions.

A magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus, in which a magnetic tape is automatically mounted on a tape guiding drum containing rotary magnetic heads for the recording and reproduction of signals on and from the tape, is provided with a pair of tape drawing and mounting members which are engageable with a tape in a cassette mounted on the apparatus and movable along guide slots in guide board to draw the tape out of the cassette to a position in which the tape is mounted on and extends around the tape guiding drum. The tape drawing and mounting members are operatively connected to chains. Drive mechanism is provided to wind and unwind the chains so that the chains are moved along guide members to thereby move the tape drawing and mounting members, respectively, away from the cassette for the required tape drawing and mounting operation.
