A system for displaying images employing a pixel structure. The pixel structure includes a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, a third sub-pixel, and a filling layer. Particularly, each sub-pixel includes a color filter layer, and an electroluminescent element corresponding to the color filter layer. The transmittances of the color filter layers of the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, and third sub-pixel, for a radiance level used for curing the filling layer, are determined according to the following equation: transmittance of the color filter layer of the first sub-pixel&#x3e;transmittance of the color filter layer of the second sub-pixel&#x3e;transmittance of the color filter layer of the third sub-pixel. Further, the distance between the first and second sub-pixels is greater than that between the first and third sub-pixels.

System for displaying images

A display device and an electrical apparatus are disclosed. The display device comprises a first substrate, an optical enhance layer, a display layer, a first electrode and a second electrode. The first substrate includes a plurality of pixel areas. The optical enhance layer is formed on the first substrate and includes a plurality of even structures and a plurality of uneven structures, wherein for each pixel area, one of the even structures corresponds to a portion of the pixel area, and one of the uneven structures corresponds to the rest portion of the pixel area. The first electrode is formed on the optical enhance layer. The display layer is formed on the first electrode. The second electrode is formed on the display layer. The display device is applicable to the electrical apparatus.

A system for displaying images is provided. The system includes a full-color organic electroluminescent device having an anode. A first emitting layer and a second emitting layer are sequentially disposed on the anode. A cathode is disposed on the second emitting layer. The first and second emitting layers include, respectively, a first dopant and a second dopant, wherein the energy gap of the first dopant is different from that of the second dopant.

A system for displaying images is provided. The system includes a reflective liquid crystal display device including a first substrate having a pixel unit array thereon. A second substrate is disposed above the first substrate and a liquid crystal layer is disposed therebetween. A plurality of first electrodes is disposed between the second substrate and the liquid crystal layer and corresponds to each pixel unit including a reflective electrode. A second electrode is disposed between the plurality of first electrodes and the liquid crystal layer to serve as a common electrode that controls the liquid crystal layer. An organic light-emissive layer is disposed between the plurality of first electrodes and the second electrode. A light-emitting device is constituted by the plurality of first electrodes, the second electrode, and the organic light-emissive layer to provide light onto the reflective electrode.

Reflective liquid crystal display device integrated with organic light-emitting device

A display device including a display panel is provided, including a substrate having a luminance region and a none-luminance region thereover. An interlayer dielectric layer is disposed over the substrate. A reflection layer is disposed over the interlayer dielectric layer in the luminance region. A planarization layer is disposed over the reflection layer, having a rugged top surface corresponding to the reflection layer. A first electrode is disposed over the planarization layer, having a rugged top surface corresponding to the reflection layer. A pixel defining layer is disposed over the planarization layer, exposing the rugged top surface of the first electrode and defining the luminance region. An electroluminescent layer and a second electrode are sequentially stacked over the first electrode.

Image display device, image display system, and methods for fabricating the same

An organic light-emitting device and a method for forming the same are provided. The organic light-emitting device includes: a substrate including a pixel area and a peripheral circuit area; a passivation layer on the substrate, the passivation layer including a first part in the pixel area and a second part in the peripheral circuit area; a pixel definition layer defining a plurality of pixel openings corresponding to the pixel area of the substrate; a plurality of first electrodes in the pixel openings; an adhesion layer on the second part; an organic layer on the first electrodes; and a second electrode layer on the organic light emitting layer, wherein the second electrode extends to the peripheral circuit area to connect with the adhesion layer.

Organic light-emitting device and method for forming the same

The present invention relates to an active matrix display and an image display system using the active matrix display. The image display system includes the active matrix display and a power supply apparatus. The active matrix display includes an active matrix substrate, a reflective layer and a sidewall-protective structure. The reflective layer is formed above the active matrix substrate and has first and second surfaces. The second surface faces the active matrix substrate. The sidewall-protective structure is formed above the active matrix substrate and surrounds the sidewalls of the reflective layer adjacent to the first and second surfaces.

The physical quantity of the fourth emitting layer is the same as that of the first emitting layer.

System for displaying images employing tandem electroluminescent device

This invention provides a top-emission active matrix electroluminescent device including a substrate and a plurality of pixel areas formed within a display area of the substrate. Each of the pixel areas includes at least one sub-pixel area comprising at least, from top to bottom: a first conductive electrode layer, an electroluminescent layer, a second conductive electrode layer, a first reflective layer region, and a second reflective layer region. The first reflective layer region and second reflective layer region overlap each other in part. Some of the light rays emitted from the electroluminescent layer are reflected by the first reflective layer region and second reflective layer region, respectively, and are then directed upwards. The reflected light rays compensate the top-emitting light rays also emitted from the electroluminescent layer, reducing color shifts at different viewing angles due to the micro-cavity effect.

Top-emission active matrix electroluminecient device

An organic electroluminescent device is provided. The organic electroluminescent device includes an array substrate having a white sub-pixel region and an organic electro-luminescent multi-layer structure is disposed on the white sub-pixel region of the array substrate. The organic electro-luminescent multi-layer structure comprises a bottom electrode. The bottom electrode has a thinner first portion and a thicker second portion for providing a wavelength shift of light in different directions.
