A multi-circuit, hydraulically open brake system includes a first pressure generator assigned to a main system with a first energy supply and a first evaluation and control unit (ECU), and is connectable via a first shut-off valve to wheel brake(s) of a first brake circuit and via a second shut-off valve to wheel brake(s) of a second brake circuit. A second pressure generator is assigned to a secondary system which includes a second energy supply and a second ECU, and is connectable via a third shut-off valve to wheel brake(s) of the first brake circuit and via a fourth shut-off valve to wheel brake(s) of the second brake circuit. The second ECU controls the second pressure generator. Components of the modulation unit for individual brake pressure modulation are assigned to the main system, and the components are controlled by the first ECU and are supplied by the first energy supply.

Multiple-circuit hydraulically open braking system, in particular for a highly automated or autonomous vehicle

A hydraulic braking system for a vehicle has two sub-braking systems hydraulically separated from one another. A first sub-braking system of a first axle has a first circuit, a main system with a first power supply and a first ECU, and a secondary system with a second power supply and a second ECU. The first circuit includes first and second pressure generators assigned, respectively, to the main system and the secondary system, in parallel between a fluid container and wheel brakes. A modulation unit connects the pressure generators to the wheel brakes. A second sub-braking system of a second axle includes a second circuit and an auxiliary system with a third power supply and a third ECU. The second circuit includes a pressure generator assigned to the auxiliary system arranged between a fluid container and wheel brakes, and a modulation unit connecting the pressure generators to the wheel brakes.

Hydraulic braking system for a vehicle having at least two axles

The disclosure relates to a hydraulic brake system for a highly automated or autonomous vehicle which includes three pressure generators which provide sufficient braking force even in a case of a fault. Two of the pressure generators are assigned in a redundant manner to one axle and a modulation unit is configured to hydraulically connect the two pressure generators to the wheel brakes of the first axle, and to perform individual brake pressure modulation in the wheel brakes. The third pressure generator is hydraulically separate from the other pressure generators, and another modulation unit is configured to hydraulically connect the third pressure generator to wheel brakes of another axle, and to perform individual brake pressure modulation in the wheel brakes.

A multi-circuit hydraulically closed braking system includes at least two wheel brakes, which are each associated with a braking circuit, two multi-circuit pressure generators, which are connected hydraulically in series between a fluid container and the at least two wheel brakes, and a hydraulic unit for hydraulic connection of the pressure generators to the at least two wheel brakes and for individual brake pressure modulation in the at least two wheel brakes. A first pressure generator is configured as a plunger system and is associated with a primary system which comprises a first power supply and a first evaluation and control unit for controlling the first pressure generator. A second pressure generator is configured as a pump system and is associated with a secondary system, which comprises a second power supply, independent of the first power supply, and a second evaluation and control unit.

Multi-circuit hydraulically closed braking system

A multiple-circuit hydraulically open braking system, for a highly automated or autonomous vehicle, includes at least two wheel brakes each assigned to a braking circuit having a pressure relief path, two multiple-circuit pressure generators hydraulically connected in series between a fluid container and the at least two wheel brakes, and a hydraulic unit for hydraulically connecting the pressure generator to the at least two wheel brakes and for individual brake pressure modulation in the at least two wheel brakes. A first pressure generator is configured as a plunger system and is assigned to a main system having a first energy supply and a first evaluation and control unit. A second pressure generator is configured as a second plunger system or as a pump system and is assigned to a secondary system having a second energy supply that is independent from the first energy supply and a second evaluation and control unit.

A multiple-circuit, hydraulically open brake has two single-circuit pressure generators hydraulically connected in parallel between at least one fluid container and at least two wheel brakes and a modulation unit for individual brake pressure modulation in the at least two wheel brakes. A first pressure generator is assigned to a main system which has a first energy supply and a first evaluation and control unit, and a second single-circuit pressure generator is assigned to a secondary system, which has a second energy supply which is independent of the first energy supply, and a second evaluation and control unit. The second evaluation and control unit controls the second pressure generator. Components of the modulation unit are assigned to the main system so that the modulation unit and the first pressure generator are controlled by the first evaluation and control unit and supplied with energy by the first energy supply.

Multiple-circuit, hydraulically open brake system, in particular for a highly automated or autonomous vehicle

An automatic speed control including repeated autonomous establishment of a setpoint variable regarding a setpoint speed and/or a setpoint acceleration of the vehicle in such a way that the setpoint speed is smaller or equal to a specified or established maximum speed and/or the setpoint acceleration of the vehicle remains smaller or equal to a specified or established maximum acceleration controlling at least one vehicle component by taking into account the autonomously newly established setpoint variable so that an actual speed of the vehicle corresponds to the setpoint speed and/or an actual acceleration of the vehicle corresponds to the setpoint acceleration; and establishing the maximum speed and/or the maximum acceleration by taking into account a measured and/or estimated temperature of a component of a wheel brake caliper and/or a driving variable that is relevant for overheating of the component of the wheel brake caliper.
