A method and system of managing the acquisition of food in a commercial environment. An example method includes receiving, from a first scale, a container weight of a container when food is removed from the container. The method also includes determining a removed weight of the food from the container based on the container weight relative to an initial container weight, receiving, from a second scale, a plate weight of a plate when the food is added to the plate. The method also includes determining an added weight of the food to the plate based on the plate weight relative to an initial plate weight, determining whether the removed weight and the added weight match, and responsive to determining that the removed weight and the added weight do not match, activating an alarm.

A method and system of managing the acquisition of food in a commercial environment. An example method includes receiving, from a first scale, a container weight of a container when food is removed from the container. The method also includes determining a removed weight of the food from the container based on the container weight relative to an initial container weight, receiving, from a second scale, a plate weight of a plate when the food is added to the plate. The method also includes determining an added weight of the food to the plate based on the plate weight relative to an initial plate weight, determining whether the removed weight and the added weight match, and responsive to determining that the removed weight and the added weight match, providing information related to the food to be presented on a user interface at the food station.

Retaining a cutting bit. At least some of the illustrative embodiments are methods including: placing a neck portion of a retaining clip in a groove on outer surface of a sleeve (the sleeve with a cylindrical bore defining a longitudinal axis); then telescoping the sleeve and retaining clip, with the neck portion placed in the groove, within a bit block (the telescoping such that an arm portion of the retaining clip partially occludes an aperture of the cylindrical bore); and then inserting a shank portion of a cutting bit within the cylindrical bore of the sleeve (the arm portion of the retaining clip mates with at least a portion of an annular groove of the shank portion); and retaining the shank portion of the cutting bit by way of the arm portion of the retaining clip.

Method and system of retaining a cutting bit

A container having a bottom, a sidewall attached to the bottom and the sidewall terminates in an open end. A closure member can be removably affixed to close the open end. There is a downwardly extending lip on the closure member that has an inner wall surface opposed to an outer wall surface. One of the inner and outer wall surfaces of the lip slidably adjoins one of the inner and outer wall surfaces of the container wall. A groove is formed in each of the adjoining wall surfaces such that when the closure is mated to the container, the grooves are brought into registry with one another and jointly form a locking passageway within which there is received an elongated locking member of a size to be received within the locking passageway to thereby prevent axial movement between the container and the closure member. The closure member further includes a port that communicates the locking passageway with the exterior of the closure member. The locking member can be inserted into the passageway to attach the closure member to the container.
