A method for manufacturing a smart card capable of achieving excellent connection reliability and bending resistance, a smart card, and a conductive particle-containing hot-melt adhesive sheet. A conductive particle-containing hot-melt adhesive sheet containing solder particles of a non-eutectic alloy in a binder containing a crystalline polyamide having a carboxyl group is interposed between a card member and an IC chip and subjected to thermocompression bonding. The crystalline polyamide having a carboxyl group improves the solder wettability of the non-eutectic alloy, thereby achieving excellent connection reliability. This effect is considered to be a flux effect due to the carboxyl group present in the crystalline polyamide, and as a result, it is possible to prevent the decrease in the elastic modulus of the adhesive layer which would be caused by the addition of a flux compound and to achieve excellent bending resistance.

The present invention is to impart, to a sheet-like soft magnetic material, a configuration in which sheet thickness change is suppressed and in which fluctuation in magnetic permeability is small even under a high-temperature or a high-temperature, high-humidity environment, even when a plurality of thin curable soft magnetic sheets produced by a coating method are laminated. The sheet-like soft magnetic material is formed from a soft magnetic composition which is formed by mixing at least a flat soft magnetic powder, an acrylic rubber, an epoxy resin, a curing agent for the epoxy resin, and a solvent. The flat soft magnetic powder is arranged in an in-plane direction of the sheet-like soft magnetic material. An acrylic rubber having a glycidyl group is used for the acrylic rubber. The weight ratio of the flat soft magnetic powder with respect to the total amount of the acrylic rubber, the epoxy resin, and the curing agent for the epoxy resin is 3.7 to 5.8.

Sheet-like soft-magnetic material and production method thereof

A sublimation thermal transfer recording medium and a thermal transfer recording method that can remove background stain and the like, and can realize gradation printing with high accuracy and good correlation between the heat quantity applied and the coloring density are provided. The sublimation thermal transfer recording medium includes a base sheet having formed on one surface thereof a number of thermal transfer dye layers having different hues in parallel to each other. The thermal transfer dye layers contain a resin material having a weight average molecular Mw of about 100,000 or less, and preferably about 60,000 or less, as a main component of a binder resin, and contain a block copolymer silicone resin. The silicone resin preferably includes an amount of Si that ranges from about 5% to about 30% by weight, and a mixing ratio of the resin material and the silicone resin is preferably from about 99:1 to about 70:30.

The present invention provides a thermal transfer ink ribbon which has good ink transferability and is capable of producing transferred images which are sharp and have high durability. As the main constituent of a binding material of thermally fusible resin, fine particles of low slipperiness which are not softened at a temperature at which the binding material is softened are contained in an ink layer 13 when the ink layer 13 is deposited to produce a thermal transfer ink ribbon 1. Since the thermally fusible resin is used, the durability of transferred images is high. Because the fine particles are contained, the ink layer can be separated sharply from the thermal transfer ink ribbon 1. As the fine particles are of low slipperiness, no slippage occurs between the thermal transfer ink ribbon 1 and a transfer medium. The fine particles of low slipperiness have an average diameter ranging from 0.3 .mu.m to 3.0 .mu.m, and are made of one or more of a condensation resin of benzoguanamine and formaldehyde, a condensation resin of melamine and formaldehyde, a condensation resin of benzoguanamine, melamine, and formaldehyde, and tetrafluoroethylene. The fine particles of low slipperiness may be contained in the ink layer 13 in an amount exceeding 10% by weight and less than 60% by weight, or preferably in an amount ranging from 20% by weight to 50% by weight.
