Exemplary methods for removing nitride may include flowing a fluorine-containing precursor into a remote plasma region of a semiconductor processing chamber. The methods may further include forming a plasma within the remote plasma region to generate plasma effluents of the fluorine-containing precursor and flowing the plasma effluents into a processing region of the semiconductor processing chamber housing a substrate. The substrate may include a high-aspect-ratio feature. The substrate may further include a region of exposed nitride and a region of exposed oxide. The methods may further include providing a hydrogen-containing precursor to the processing region to produce an etchant. At least a portion of the exposed nitride may be removed with the etchant.

Embodiments of the present technology may include a method of etching. The method may include mixing plasma effluents with a gas in a first section of a chamber to form a first mixture. The method may also include flowing the first mixture to a substrate in a second section of the chamber. The first section and the second section may include nickel plated material. The method may further include reacting the first mixture with the substrate to etch a first layer selectively over a second layer. In addition, the method may include forming a second mixture including products from reacting the first mixture with the substrate.

Process window widening using coated parts in plasma etch processes

The disclosed embodiments provide a system for monitoring resource usage statistics. During operation, the system obtains a set of expiration times associated with usage of the resource. Next, the system selects a first limit to a number of time slots for use in calculating usage statistics for the resource based on a memory efficiency associated with calculating the usage statistics for the resource. The system then populates, up to the first limit, a set of time slots after a current time with the expiration times. When a time slot in the set of time slots includes the current time, the system uses a subset of the expiration times in the time slot to update one or more usage statistics for the resource. Finally, the system outputs the one or more usage statistics for use in managing the usage of the resource.

Tunable, efficient monitoring of capacity usage in distributed storage systems

Exemplary methods for marking packets include in response to receiving a packet, determining whether the packet has been classified, and in response to determining the packet has not been classified, classifying the packet to determine a class to which the packet belongs, wherein the class identifies a set of zero or more markers that are to be included as part of packets belonging to the class. The methods include marking the packet with a first marker selected from the set of one or more markers, and forwarding the marked packet. Exemplary methods for processing markers include in response to receiving a packet, determining whether the packet has been marked with a marker, and in response to determining the packet has been marked with the first marker, performing a set of one or more operations required by the first marker.

A method implemented by a computing device to optimize resource usage of service function chains (SFCs) in a network using machine learning. The method includes obtaining, from an autoscale machine learning (ML) system associated with a virtual network function (vNF), a suggested adjustment to an amount of resources provisioned for the vNF. The autoscale ML system is trained online using machine learning to predict an amount of resources to be utilized by the vNF. The autoscale ML system is configured to receive as input an amount of resources currently utilized by the vNF and an amount of resources currently available to the vNF, determine using machine learning the suggested adjustment to the amount of resources provisioned for the vNF based on the input, and output the suggested adjustment. The method further includes providing the suggested adjustment to a resource re-allocator component.

System and methods for intelligent service function placement and autoscale based on machine learning

The communications network comprises an available port communicatively connected to the communications network, and a discovered port that is discovered as being communicatively connected to the communications network. The management node obtains Information associating at least the available port and the discovered port with respective one or more attributes and with a respective attribute identifier identifying the respective one or more attributes. The management node receives, from a port discovering network node, a message comprising the attribute identifier associated with the discovered port. The management node decides that the available port is suitable to be communicatively connected with the discovered port based on that the respective one or more attributes are considered matching.

A method is implemented by a computing device to determine a root cause of a performance issue in a software defined networking (SDN) network using flow statistics maintained by hosts in the network. The method includes receiving a request to perform a root cause analysis (RCA) for a first flow in the network that is experiencing a performance issue, obtaining flow path information for flows in the network, and obtaining flow statistics for the flows in the network, where the flow statistics are end-to-end flow statistics maintained by one or more hosts in the network. The method further includes executing an RCA algorithm for the first flow, where the RCA algorithm determines a root cause of a performance issue experienced by the first flow based on the flow path information and the flow statistics.

A method is implemented by a network device in a network for monitoring a segment of the network without direct access to an internal configuration or state of the segment. The method includes receiving a request to perform a monitoring task on a monitoring zone within the network. The monitoring zone includes a subset of network devices of the network. For each contained network function, a subgraph is generated, where each of a plurality of network elements in a network is split into two vertexes, and one edge is added between the split two vertexes for each network element that hosts that network function of the subgraph. The subgraphs are ordered and connected through connecting each vertex with one edge to another vertex with one edge in a subsequent subgraph to form a graph, where the connection is included in a representation of the network. Each edge includes a cost measure. The method selects a path from the vertex representing the source network element to the vertex representing the destination network element in the graph to route the network function chain, where each edge of the path is selected based on at least its cost measure.
