A photosensitive composition comprises an organic polymer and a photo-polymerizable monomer. The photo-polymerizable monomer has the following formula: ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 represents an alkylene group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and n represents the number of 0.5 to 5.

Photosensitive composition for transfer sheets

A heat sensitive ink sheet has a heat sensitive ink layer which is formed of a heat sensitive ink material comprising colored pigment and thermoplastic resin such as amorphous organic polymer. An image receiving sheet having a support sheet and an image receiving layer thereon, the support sheet of the image receiving sheet being a porous sheet made of plastics which have fine pores therein. An image forming method is conducted by using the heat sensitive ink sheet and an image receiving sheet by area gradation by the use of a thermal head or laser beam.

The present invention provides a photosensitive transfer sheet which does not generate cutting powder when the exposed and developed transfer sheet is cut with scissors as needed after forming an image. Additionally, no film floating and image disruption accompanied by a kink mark generated on handling the exposed and developed transfer sheet are observed. Furthermore, the above-described performance and transferability are maintained even under low humidity conditions. The photosensitive transfer sheet includes (a) a support having thereon (b) a peeling layer containing an organic polymer, the peeling layer having thereon (c) a photopolymerizable photosensitive resin layer, in which the peeling layer further contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the following formulae (1) and (2), ##STR1##

Photosensitive transfer sheet

An aqueous alkaline developing solution comprises an alkali compound, water and an alkylnaphthalene sulfonate having the following formula: ##STR1## in which R represents an alkyl group of 3 to 5 carbon atoms and q is 0 or an integer of 1 to 3, in the amount of 1 to 20 weight %. The aqueous alkaline developing solution further contains an anionic surface active agent of the specific sulfonate compound having a naphthalene ring and a polypolyoxyethylene moiety, in the amount of 0.1 to 10 weight % and an nonionic surface active agent having a polyoxyethylene moiety and an aromatic ring in its structure in the amount of 0.03 to 3 weight %, or contains an anionic surface active agent of the specific sulfonate compound having the specific aralkyl-substituted benzene ring and a polypolyoxyethylene moiety.

Disclosed is an image forming process employing a light-sensitive image forming material and a developing solution. The image forming material comprises a support and either a light-sensitive resin layer containing a pigment or a colorant layer containing a pigment and a light-sensitive resin layer, superposed in order. The process comprises the steps of imagewise exposing the image forming material to light and developing the material by the use of an alkaline developing solution containing at least one of compounds having the following formula (1): ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represents hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms which may be substituted or an aryl group which may be substituted, M.sup.1 represents hydrogen, potassium or an ammonium group, Y represents hydrogen or --SO.sub.3 M.sub.2 (in which M.sup.2 represents sodium, potassium or an ammonium group and M.sup.2 may be the same as or different from M.sup.1) and n represents a number in the range of 1 to 1000; to form an image on the support.

A light-sensitive image-forming material which has on a support a coloring layer comprising a coloring agent and an alkali soluble organic macromolecular binder, and a photopolymer layer, in the order listed, with the coloring layer further containing a particular fluorine-containing surface active agent, whereby uniform film thickness is ensured to the coloring layer even when drying is carried out in a short time using simple equipment. The fluorine-containing surface active agent is a copolymer comprising as repeating units (1) an acrylate or a methacrylate which has a fluorinated alphatic group containing from 3 to 20 carbon atoms and not less than 40 wt % of fluorine atoms, with the aliphatic group having a terminal moiety containing at least 3 fluorinated carbon atoms, and (2) a poly(oxyalkylene)acrylate or a poly(oxyalkylene)methacrylate. In addition, the portion of the fluorinated aliphatic group-containing acrylate or methacrylate repeating unit is from 10 to 70% by weight.

A process for forming a polymeric image in a silver halide sensor type polymerizable light-sensitive material having a silver halide photographic emulsion layer is disclosed. The process is comprised of reducing a development nucleus-containing silver halide using at least one phenol compound and at least one hydrazine compound in the presence of at least one non-gaseous ethylenically unsaturated compound capable of undergoing addition polymerization to selectively polymerize the non-gaseous ethylenically unsaturated compound in an area where the development nucleus-containing silver halide is present. The phenol compound is represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.2 ', R.sub.3 and R.sub.3 ' are defined within the disclosure. The hydrazine compound is represented by the following general formula (II): ##STR2## wherein R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are defined within the disclosure. The process for forming a polymeric image exhibits a high sensitivity and provides a negative polymeric image with respect to the silver image. A silver halide sensor type polymerizable light-sensitive material suitable for use in the process is also disclosed.

Silver halide sensor type polymerizable light-sensitive material

A silver halide sensor type polymerizable light-sensitive material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support having a silver halide photographic emulsion layer and a polymerizing layer adjacent to the emulsion layer. The polymerizing layer contains a nongaseous ethylenically unsaturated compound capable of undergoing addition polymerization upon reduction of the silver halide with a reducing compound. The material is capable of producing printing plates having good inking property and good printing durability. The material maintains the sensitivity and high resolving power of a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material.
