The present invention relates to a printed circuit board, PCB, with at least one integrated antenna element configured to transmit and/or receive radio frequency, RF, signals. Each of the at least one antenna element is configured to be connected to RF circuitry, and the at least one antenna element is embedded in the PCB. The present invention also relates to an antenna arrangement and a communication device for wireless communication comprising a PCB with at least one embedded antenna element.

A multilayer PCB () for optical transmission is presented. The multilayer PCB includes a first layer (), a second layer (), and a transparent layer () between them. The transparent layer may have a first compartment (), which may have a first mirror () operable to reflect a beam of light (B) into the first compartment of the transparent layer in a plurality of directions (C) perpendicular to the direction of the beam of light, thereby transmitting throughout the first compartment an optical signal carried by the beam of light in said plurality of directions such that one or more other mirrors disposed in the first compartment of the transparent layer are able to receive a beam of reflected light (C) carrying the optical signal. The multilayer PCB may further include a second mirror () in the first compartment for reflecting a wave of reflected light (C) carrying the optical signal toward an optical receiver ().

System, method, and apparatus for optical broadcast transmission in a circuit board

A pluggable synchronization module comprises an antenna input, a Global Navigation Satellite System receiver, an electrical interface and processing circuitry. The Global Navigation Satellite System receiver is operative to receive satellite-transmitted signals comprising positioning-related information over the antenna input. The Global Navigation Satellite System receiver is further operative to determine a time reference from received positioning-related information and to provide a time reference signal according to the determined time reference. The electrical interface supports communication with the pluggable synchronization module. The electrical interface is a form-factor pluggable interface. The processing circuitry is connected to the Global Navigation Satellite System receiver and to the electrical interface. The processing circuitry is operative to deduce synchronization information from the time reference signal and to transmit the deduced synchronization information over the electrical interface.

Synchronization module and method

An apparatus () for positioning an optical transceiver () relative to a reflector () in a multi-layer circuit board () is presented. The apparatus includes an optical transceiver (), a housing () in which the optical transceiver () is located, a first platform (), a second platform () offset from the first platform (), and a frame () surrounding the second platform (). The first platform () has a first side () and a second side () opposite the first side (). The housing () is attached to the first side (). The apparatus further includes a set of actuators comprising a first actuator (), a second actuator (), and a third actuator (), which are connected to the second side (), and includes a fourth actuator () and a fifth actuator (). Each of the first, second, and third actuators is connected to a first side () of the second platform, and is configured such that each can be controlled to move the transceiver () by moving along a first axis that is orthogonal to the first side of the second platform, thereby moving the first platform (). The fourth actuator () is attached to the frame and is operable to displace the second platform along a second axis that is orthogonal to the first axis. The fifth actuator () is attached to the frame and is operable to displace the second platform along a third axis that is orthogonal to the first axis and to the second axis.
