A label for in-mold molding, which comprises a laminate film comprising a substrate layer (A) and a heat-sealable resin layer (B), wherein the substrate layer (A) comprises a thermoplastic resin in an amount of from 40 to 90% by weight and at least one of an inorganic fine powder and an organic filler in an amount of from 10 to 60% by weight, the heat-sealable resin layer (B) comprises a thermoplastic resin in an amount of from 50 to 100% by weight, the laminate film is at least uniaxially stretched, the porosity of the laminate film is from 10% to 45%, the thermal conductivity of the label is from 0.04 to 0.11 W/mK, and the bonding strength of the label stuck to an adherend formed of a propylene-based resin at 200&#xb0; C. and 60 MPa is from 250 to 1500 g/15 mm.

A label for in-mold forming which comprises a thermoplastic resin film base layer (I), a heat-sealable resin layer (II), and an antistatic layer (III), wherein the heat-sealable resin layer (II) comprises a heat-sealable resin including a copolymer of propylene and &#x3b1;-olefin having 4-20 carbon atoms and has a degree of non-crystallinity of 60-90% as determined with a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) at temperatures less than 90&#xb0; C., the antistatic layer (III) comprises an antistatic agent in an amount of 0.001 to 1 g per unit area (m) and the surface of the layer has a wettability index (JIS-K-6768) of 32-54 mN/m, and the label has a porosity higher than 10% and not higher than 70% and has an opacity (JIS-P-8138) higher than 20% and not higher than 100%; and a labeled container with the label.

The invention provides an in-mold label which enables the degree of scumming to be judged during printing and imparts a good appearance to molded articles produced through in-mold molding, and which comprises a base layer (I), a heat-sealable resin layer (II), and a printable layer (III) and has a haze in whole layer of 80-100% and an internal haze of 0-20%. The invention further provides a molded article obtained using the label.

An in-mold label includes a thermoplastic resin film substrate layer and a heat-seal resin layer. The label has a label body and a separable part. Tearable perforations are provided between the label body and the separable part. The adhesion strength between the separable part and a thermoplastic resin container is from 80 to 270 gf/10 mm, when the label is stuck to the container during in-mold production of the container. A lubricant is applied to from 55 to 80% of the surface area of the heat-seal resin layer of the separable part. The wettability index of both the thermoplastic resin film substrate layer surface and the heat-seal resin layer surface is from 34 to 73 mN/m.

Disclosed is a label for in-mold forming comprising a thermoplastic resin film base layer and a heat-seal resin layer, wherein a surface of the heat-seal resin layer has a centerline average roughness of 0.5 to 5 micrometers and the label has an air permeability of 10 to 20,000 seconds. When in-mold forming is conducted with the label of the present invention, labeled molded resin articles of various shapes can be manufactured while effectively inhibiting blistering.

A label for in-mold decorating, which comprises (I) a thermoplastic resin film base layer, (II) an interlayer overlying said base layer and comprising (a) a thermoplastic resin composition, and (b) at least one antistatic agent, and (III) a heat-sealable resin layer overlying said interlayer. The label for in-mold decorating can be manufactured without developing a resin-like stain or causing roll contamination. It is free from inconveniences arising from insufficient antistatic properties in printing, cutting, blanking, and inserting into a mold, irrespective of the working environment. In addition, it exhibits a high adhesive strength upon application to a molded container.

A labeled resin bottle containing a resin bottle and one or more labels placed thereon and fused therewith, wherein said resin bottle has a value of W/(V ) within a range from 0.1 to 0.5 m, wherein W is a base weight, and V is a fill-in volume, provided that when the value is 0.1 or larger and smaller than 0.3, the bottle has a major thick layer consisting of a polyolefinic resin having a stiffness of 5,000 kgf/cm or below, and wherein said label has a tensile elastic modulus of 5,000 to 30,000 kgf/cm . The labeled resin bottle is capable of withstanding reduced bottle strength while thinning the resin bottle and reducing the amount of source resins used therefor.

An in-mold decorating label, which comprises a thermoplastic resin film substrate layer (I) having provided on its backside a heat-sealable resin layer (II), the heat-sealable resin layer (II) containing a polyethylenic resin and at least one of (i) a fatty acid amide having a molecular weight of 300 or more and (ii) an organic or inorganic fine powder having an average particle size larger than thickness of the heat-sealable resin layer (II). This label for use in in-mold decorating has excellent feeding and discharging properties upon printing and workability during sheeting, which facilitates insertion of the label into a metal mold during in-mold decorating, and provides a label-laminated container which does not suffer from blister generation and has a large welding force between the container and the label.

An in-mold label comprising a thermoplastic resin film base layer comprising a thermoplastic resin as the main component (I) carrying printed matter on its front side and a heat sealable resin layer (II) formed on the back side of the base layer (I) and made of a resin composition comprising 55-90 wt % of a polyethylene, 5-40 wt % of a polyetheresteramide, 1-20 wt % of a modified low-molecular weight polyethylene, and 0-20 wt % of a polyamide resin.

A uniaxially stretched multilayered film obtained by uniaxially stretching a laminated film at a stretch ratio of from 3 to 10 to form many closed fine voids in each layer, said laminated film comprising a base layer (A) made of a resin composition comprising resinous ingredients comprising from 50 to 90% by weight crystalline polyolefin (a) and from 50 to 10% by weight thermoplastic resin (b) having a lower melting point than the crystalline polyolefin (a) and an inorganic fine powder (c) in an amount of from 0 to 35% by weight based on the sum of the weight of the resinous ingredients and, formed on at least one side of said base layer (A), a surface layer (B) made of a resin composition comprising from 20 to 80% by weight inorganic fine powder (d) and from 80 to 20% by weight crystalline polyolefin (e), said uniaxially stretching being conducted at a temperature lower than the melting point of said crystalline polyolefin (a) and lower than the melting point of said crystalline polyolefin (e) but at a temperature higher than the melting point of said thermoplastic resin (b).
