A controller is configured to determine a word in a set of words corresponding to a received coding value, the set of words including at least one data word, at least one modulator command word and at least one gain command word. When the received coding value corresponds to a data word, the controller causes the data word to be modulated. A transmitter device comprises a digital part and an analog part. The digital part comprises a digital modulator for receiving bits and for digitally modulating the received bits. The transmitter device includes first and second digital-to-analog converters. The transmitter device furthermore comprises at least one filter unit arranged in the digital part and coupled between at least one of the first and second digital-to-analog converters and the digital modulator. A table unit is coupled to the at least one filter unit and is used to store pre-defined compensation filter values for the at least one filter unit to compensate different delay mismatches in the analog part of the transmitter device. The filter values of the at least one filter unit are set to those compensation filter values as stored in the table unit (TU) which correspond to a determined delay mismatch.

A signal scaling device (D), for a transmission path of a wireless communication equipment, comprises a processing means (PM) adapted to receive a phase and/or amplitude modulated signal (I/Q) to transmit, and arranged to multiply said phase and/or amplitude modulated signal with a chosen complex gain in order to output said phase and/or amplitude modulated signal with a chosen scaled amplitude and a chosen phase offset.

The method serves to add at least two values by means of a circuit. Both input values and output values are represented in differential form, either as a pair of voltages or as a pair of currents. The circuit consists of four transistors; it has a pair of current inputs for one of the input values, a pair of voltage inputs for the other input value, and a pair of current outputs for the output value. The voltage between the two voltage inputs corresponds to the first input value; the quotient of the currents through the two current inputs corresponds to the exponential of the other input value; and the quotient of the currents through the two current outputs corresponds to the exponential of the sum of the two input values. Values represented by voltages are easily transformed into current representation, and vice versa. The method is suitable for a variety of applications and the circuit can be cascaded both with copies of itself and with other circuits.

A circuit module for data processing comprises several first inputs (I,), several second inputs (I,) and several outputs (I,). First transistors (T,) combine the first and second inputs. Each of the first transistors (T,) is connected at its emitter or source with a first input and at its base or gate with a second input. Each second input is further connected to the base or gate and the emittor or source of a second transistor (T,). The currents of the outputs correspond to the product of the currents through the individual inputs. By combining the outputs sum products can be calculated, especially for computing discrete probability distributions. The combination of several circuit modules allows to solve complex signal processing tasks.
