A food mixing apparatus includes a main housing, a mixing container for receiving food, and having a central axis: Y, a rotor ring surrounding the mixing container, the rotor ring being fixed to the mixing container and having a central axis: X extending at an angle to the central axis: Y of the mixing container, and a support roller mechanism attached to the main housing, the support roller mechanism supporting the rotor ring at two points only from below to rotate the rotor ring about the axis: X. An aerating tube communicating with an opening formed in a bottom surface of the mixing container extends coaxially with the axis: X of the rotor ring. The aerating tube communicates with a blast duct mounted in the main housing.

A cutter-trimmer comprising a drivingly rotatable cutter disposed at the front end of the body thereof, a guide handle disposed at the rear end of the body, a wheel member disposed in the vicinity of the cutter and reversibly rotatable about a horizontal axis for supporting the body thereon, and a cutter driving engine and a wheel member driving electric motor provided at a longitudinally intermediate portion of the body toward its front end. The device is adapted to perform a cutting operation while traveling forward, rearward or sideways by shifting the wheel member to a forward position or to a lateral position about a vertical axis and holding the wheel member in the shifted position.

A tiller cover assembly covering a rotary tiller unit is provided inside thereof with rake members arranged at a spacing along the width of cultivation for sieving lumps or blocks of soil carried around by the tiller unit. Each of the raker members is made of a resilient rod which has a coiled portion toward its base end and is fixed to an attaching member at the base end above the coiled portion. The coiled portions of the rake members are projected toward an upwardly or downwardly movable rear cover of the cover assembly, permitting the rear cover to contact the coiled portions. A clearance is formed between sieving portions of the rake members extending downward from the coiled portions to their free ends and the rear cover. A protector is provided on the inner side of the coiled portions, by which the lumps or blocks of soil carried around by the tiller unit are prevented from striking the coiled portions.

Cultivating tines, each having opposite cutting edges, are pivotably supported by tine mount members on a tine shaft reversibly rotatable about a horizontal lateral axis. One of the cutting edges of the tine is retainable in a position rearward with respect to the direction of forward rotation, while the other cutting edge is retainable in a position rearward with respect to the direction of reverse rotation. When held in each of these positions, the tine is restrained by resistant force imparting means from being pivotally moved by a centrifugal force. The resistant force to be imparted by this means is smaller than the reaction to be produced when the tine is driven into the soil.

In a wrapping connector driving apparatus for agricultural machines including a chain reeved around sprocket wheels on two shafts, a tension adjusting device is provided on the slack side of the chain. A tightener bearing against the chain tensions the chain. A piston slidably fitting in an oil enclosing cylinder is pressed against the tightener by a resilient member. An abnormal load, when acting on the chain, is absorbed by the resilient member and the oil enclosed in the cylinder, which is provided with a passageway for releasing the increased internal pressure due to the abnormal load. When relieved of the load, the cylinder can be supplied with oil by way of a check valve. The tension on the chain is thus automatically adjustable.
