Described are systems, methods, and devices relating to normothermic extracorporeal support of an organ, tissue, or bioengineered graft comprising cross-circulation (XC) perfusion for prolonged periods (days to weeks) via an XC perfusion circuit in connection with an extracorporeal host (e.g., animal, patient, organ transplant recipient) are disclosed. The XC perfusion circuit comprises auto-regulation of blood flow based on the trans-organ blood pressure difference between arterial and venous pressure. Recipient support enabled 36 h of normothermic perfusion that maintained healthy lungs with no significant changes in physiologic parameters and allowed for the recovery of injured lungs. Extended support enabled multiscale therapeutic interventions in all extracorporeal lungs. Lungs exceeded transplantation criteria.

The vasculature of a donor lung is perfused with a lung preserving fluid to preserve its structure. At the same time, a decellularization fluid is perfused through the airways, which strips away donor cells. The decellularized region is then seeded with pulmonary cells of the transplant recipient, which regenerate the lung. The pulmonary cells may be derived from stem cells, and the decellularization can be targeted to reduce the quantity of cells required.

Functional recovery of human lungs for transplantation

An information capture, processing and retrieval ('ICPR') system shared by multiple buyers, suppliers and workers concurrently and a method of operating the same. In one embodiment, the ICPR system includes an order documentation subsystem configured to document orders for the suppliers and the buyers with respect to the workers. Each of the orders specifies a different method of time capture for the workers assigned thereto. The ICPR system also includes a time capture subsystem configured to receive the different methods of time capture from the workers positioned in one of anchored and untethered locations assigned to the orders. In a related embodiment, the ICPR system further includes a time approval and buyer tagging subsystem configured to allow the buyers to label time worked by the workers corresponding to the buyers with one or more tags, thereby translating approved time of the workers into custom, internal terminology of the buyers.

A gaming apparatus for allowing players to explore decisions made in response to changing circumstances and to engage with the contradictions of competing needs. The gaming apparatus comprises a game board and game pieces. The game board is divided into an inner play area and an outer play area that surrounds the inner play area. An outer game piece traversing the outer play area determines functionality of one or more inner game pieces positioned on the inner play area. In each round of a game play, a player is either a Giver or a Taker, and moves inner game pieces according to their Point of View. Players' Points of View may exchange in every round. A player's goal is to be the Giver, since only the Giver can win. However, the Giver only wins when all four blue human being game pieces from a pyramid and meet Eye to Eye.

Method and apparatus for game play

A game board is divided into squares, and is partitioned into an inner play area and an outer play area that surrounds the inner play area. The outer play area acts as a game engine in that it controls the functionality of one or more game pieces within the inner play area. The inner play area preferably comprises a 6&#xd7;6 array of squares, and the outer play area includes a perimeter of squares which surround the inner play area. A position of a game piece traversing the outer play area determines functionality of certain game pieces positioned within the inner play area. The subject invention comprises a plant growth chamber in which any of a variety of plants may be grown.
