A composite doctor arrangement for a web forming machine or web handling machine has a beam structure () with a mounting piece () fitted to it. A blade holder () is fitted to the mounting piece, with a blade () fitted to the blade holder (). The mounting piece () is fitted axially and movably in the beam structure () by a form-locked mounting counterpiece (), where the form locking is arranged so that it is fixed in the lateral direction of the blade () and essentially free in the longitudinal direction of the blade ().

Composite doctor arrangement

A beam structure for a paper, board or finishing machine is suited for use in all applications where, for instance, a doctor or a coating device or a measuring device needs to be supported on a cross-directional beam of a paper or board machine. The beam () has an inner and outer shell () which are situated inside each other and which are supported to each other over some of their length, and that one shell is supported stationarily by its ends to the frame structures () of the said paper, board or finishing machine, and that one shell deflects when the beam is loaded while the other shell remains essentially straight.

The operation of a doctor assembly () in a paper machine is monitored. In case of a malfunction, the paper machine's () control devices (-) are used to carry out the necessary measures for eliminating the malfunction and carrying out repair and/or protective measures. In addition, detector devices () are arranged in connection with the doctor assembly (), to detect a malfunction. The detector devices () are connected to the control devices () of the paper machine (), in order to carry out the said measures automatically. A doctor unit in a paper machine includes a blade carrier having a blade holder fitted to the blade carrier. A doctor blade is mountable in the blade holder to doctor a roll or similar moving surface. The blade holder and/or doctor blade include one or more sensors installed inside the construction or on its surface. The sensors are arranged to measure the wear of and/or stress in the blade holder and/or doctor blade.

Doctor unit in a paper machine

An arrangement for doctoring a belt or a soft roll surfacing in a paper or board machine includes a doctor set in connection with a surface with a doctor blade fitted in it for doctoring the surface. The doctor blade is at least partly of a material, the hardness of which is essentially equal to or less than the hardness of the material of the surface, in order to prevent the doctor blade from cutting into the surface. The material is arranged to form a layer extending over the entire width of the doctor blade, and the thickness of which throughout is at least half of the thickness of the doctor blade. A support construction is arranged in the doctor blade, which together with the layer is arranged to form the doctor blade.

Arrangement for doctoring a belt or a soft roll surfacing in a paper or board machine

A caring doctor blade for a paper/board machine having layers of fiberglass and carbon fibers, and a caring layer as a rigid laminated structure, where the caring layer has carbon fibers and grinding particles in direct proximity to the carbon fibers. The orientation of the fiberglass layers is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the blade. At least some of the layers that contain carbon fibers. The orientation of the carbon fibers is substantially diverging from the direction of the longitudinal axis of the blade. A method for manufacturing the doctor blade for a paper/board machine by a pultrusion method is also disclosed.

Caring doctor blade and method for manufacture of same

A composite blade, in which there is an essentially plate-like blade component with a composite-construction and retention members arranged in its rear part is intended to be installed in a special blade holder with the retention members remaining in the throat of the blade holder. The retention members are formed of a profiling arranged as a lateral extension of the blade component. The profiling extends essentially over the entire length of the blade and is of the same piece as the blade component.

A loading hose for use in a paper machine doctor or coating device, which loading hose is located between the doctor's or coating device's blade support and rotatably arranged blade holder, is arranged to load the doctor blade of the doctor or the coating blade of the coating device. The loading hose incorporates a flexible casing, which is pressure-resistant and of a uniform cross-section. The loading hose includes at least one stiffening member attached to the casing and arranged to lie against either the blade support or the blade holder.
