An electronic component package has an outer edge including a first side and a second side adjacent to each other. The electronic component package includes a first electronic component chip, a second electronic component chip provided at a distance from the first electronic component chip, one or more first terminals disposed along the first side, one or more second terminals disposed along the second side, and one or more first conductors. The one or more first conductors couple the one or more first terminals to the first electronic component chip, with the one or more first terminals being uncoupled to the second electronic component chip.

A correction apparatus for an angle sensor includes a correction information generator for generating correction information, and a correction processing unit for performing correction processing in the course of generation of a detected angle value by an angle detector. Details of the correction processing are determined on the basis of the correction information. The correction information generator includes an error estimate generation unit and a correction information determination unit. The error estimate generation unit generates, on the basis of a first signal and a second signal, an error estimate containing a variable component that varies depending on an ideal angle estimate. The correction information determination unit determines the correction information on the basis of the error estimate.

A magnetic field detection apparatus has a first magnetic sensor and a bias magnet positioned to face the first magnetic sensor. The bias magnet has a magnetic pole surface that faces the first magnetic sensor and that applies a bias magnetic field to the first magnetic sensor. The first magnetic sensor detects magnetic field in a first direction that is parallel to the magnetic pole surface. The magnetic pole surface of the bias magnet has a plurality of grooves arranged in the first direction.

A correction apparatus for an angle sensor includes a correction unit for performing first correction processing on a first detection signal and performing second correction processing on a second detection signal. The first correction processing is processing for combining the first detection signal and a first correction value to generate a first corrected detection signal. The second correction processing is processing for combining the second detection signal and a second correction value to generate a second corrected detection signal. The first correction value has a first amplitude and varies with a first period. The second correction value has a second amplitude and varies with a second period. The first and second amplitudes are of the same value. The first and second periods are of the same value equal to &#x2153; or &#x2155; of the period of an ideal component of each of the first and second detection signals.

Correction apparatus for angle sensor, and angle sensor

A rotation angle sensor includes a magnet that rotates about a rotation axis. The magnet has an end face perpendicular to the rotation axis and has a magnetization in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis. The rotation angle sensor further includes a magnetic sensor that faces the end face of the magnet and detects a magnetic field produced by the magnet. The magnet includes a plate-shaped portion including the end face, and a ring-shaped portion that is located on a side of the plate-shaped portion farther from the end face and coupled to the plate-shaped portion. The plate-shaped portion does not include any hollow through which the rotation axis passes, whereas the ring-shaped portion includes a hollow through which the rotation axis passes.

Rotation angle sensor

A magnetic sensor includes a spin valve-type magneto-resistive element, a voltage detection part, a coil, and a current control part, the coil being configured to apply a measuring magnetic field to the spin valve-type magneto-resistive element upon application of a current, the voltage detection part being configured to output a detection signal to the current control part upon detecting an output voltage of the spin valve-type magneto-resistive element reaching a predetermined voltage value, the current control part being configured to control the current to unidirectionally increase or unidirectionally decrease a strength of the measuring magnetic field from an initial value, but upon input of the detection signal, control the current to return the strength of the measuring magnetic field to the initial value, the initial value being a magnetic field strength where the spin valve-type magneto-resistive element reaches saturation magnetization.
