The method of labeling a sugar chain from a biological sample employs a single reaction vessel for the sequential performance of the following steps of (a) isolating a sugar chain from a sample using a sugar-trapping substance; (b) washing the sugar-trapping substance having the sugar chains trapped thereon; (c) releasing the sugar chain from the sugar-trapping substance; and (d) labeling the released sugar chain with UV/visible or fluorescent compound having an amino group forming a stable labeled sugar in fewer steps than a conventional ion exchange based technique.

Method of labeling sugar chain

A method for preparing an analysis sample which involves the sugar chain capture step comprising a reaction of capturing a sugar chain and/or a sugar derivative from a biological sample by using a sugar chain capture agent and the excision step comprising excising a compound containing a moiety capturing the sugar chain and/or the sugar derivative from the sugar chain capture agent after the completion of the sugar chain capture reaction and releasing the compound.

A transparent composite composition is provided which is low in coefficient of linear expansion and excellent in transparency, heat resistance and solvent resistance and can serve as an optical sheet for a liquid crystal display device or organic EL display device, for instance and can thus serve as a glass substitute. The transparent composite composition has a transparent resin (a) and a glass filler (b), and the transparent resin (a) is a copolymer obtained from at least one reactive monomer lower in refractive index than the glass filler (b) and at least one reactive monomer higher in refractive index than the glass filler (b).
